Hi :)
The “Hornet’s Sting” Jungle rework enhanced the visuals of the map, but completely destroyed the tactical gameplay. Specifically because the reworked map removed all mid-size foliage (the kind which is always rendered regardless of graphics settings), tree density was also reduced, and foliage no longer casts shadows!
Tanks now stand out and it’s impossible to hide. This is in direct contrast to the map’s gameplay prior to the rework. As a result I find it less enjoyable
Note for moderators: A forum thread on this topic was locked, I think for duplicity? But the Jungle rework devblog thread is locked, and the other thread about the Jungle map is specifically about the removal of some map sectors on the old pre-rework map. So idk where else to post this

it should have been renamed to beach as there’s no bloody jungle anymore.

Had to do something to deal with teams being made entirely of rat players
Gaijin prefers to make maps more open and with a corridor like design from counter strike. Its so prem lvl 12 players can actually see players.

That was the worst rework YET.
With all that removed foliage it just look like old jungle on ultra low quality graphics.
my reply is a bit delayed, but i just played the map for the first time in normal map cycle, and yeah it looks better overall, but half the trees are gone?
when i google up “jungle” the generally pictures look much different from this map.
Should rename it from jungle to “jungle clearing” or add some more stumps and call it “deforested jungle”.
i dont like the changes, but apart of my own liking i also think the name doesent fit anymore after its changes.
