It is all fair and well adding more and more jets and prioritising releasing jets over anything else - but when the matches are over in 3 minutes or so - I feel very unengaged.
I think we need objectives etc like the old maps back in the day.
Many jets have multiple applications and abilities yet there is little no opportunity to use them.
Most of the time I engage 1 enemy and when I look around after - the team is dead.
Another problem for me is the sheer desperation of players to get a kill - so much so that 80% of any given team will chase or engage the first enemy they see, leaving the remaining 20% to engage the enemy 80% - again resulting in 3 minute battles.
Every single match.
The situation of the High tiers are awful, lately I been playing 12.0 to 13.3 and either all the team gets killed by Fox-3 and you are left alone in a 1 vs all or you have to run to kill the last enemy because you have a plane without Fox-3
We need less players and more spread out players. Remove airspawns, force EC maps with 3 airfield spawn points above 12.0, make 12v12 the default above 9.0, 10v10 above 12.0, and 8v8 above 13.0.
I don’t think that having less players are a good idea, I mean, if yo have a widely spread spawn and maps from EC, it will get you unnecessary longer matches, with less rewards (Being that the best rewards are from killing another players)
I know that the activity time has a weight in the rewards but we know that the vast majority of the players prefers to start a match, get 1 or 2 kills and then repeat,
What we really need is the decompression, I think that there should be something done with the planes that have access to Fox-3 being against them that doesn’t have it.
Top tier air RBs main issues are from 16v16 matches accelerating gameplay and leading to more steamrolls and overstimulation. At minimum we need more spread out players instead of everyone rushing to the centre ASAP.
The majority of your RP rewards come from time spent in battle, and not killing other players. SL works like how you described I think.
It’s not that black and white, but we do need decompression. 13.0 could easily be split into 3 whole BRs without issues, and 16.0 or 17.0 is achievable by decompressing all aircraft.
Yes of course, the problem is that (afaik and basing in Sim) the rewards are calculated by the actions and the time, you do nothing if you have more than 10 minutes and only get a couple of AI targets, thats why the player number counts, I agree that 16 are a lot but 8vs8 is too low, also, I agree with having bigger maps and spread spawn points with a wide variety of targets and objectives preventing the rushing but they will need to increase the rewards.
Yes, I made it sound like that sorry, but if you analyze it, you have to think what has to go up and down taking in count the balance.

Selecting the less players option did nothing for me, i keep getting thrusted into annoying overcrowded clusterf* battles where tactics are thrown out of the window.
I love jets a lot, but my desire to play air is waning. It’s such a miserable experience.
We desperately need some changes to air rb, it’s been stagnant for years.
Air RB either need closer spawn point, respawns, or more objective.
Because honestly, one life with that much travel to encounter is ain’t it. I’d take a team deathmatch (air RB with 3 spawns mechanic and like 0 marker) over the current iteration of air RB even though my ideal air game is PvPvE Air EC.
