So i have been trying to lob JDAMs with A10 (i know its bad platform for that) and experianced problem with CCRP. Whenever i tried to use it with JDAMs, they fell fell too early but when i tested normal bombs they worked perfectly fine. Is it bug or i m missing something?
Can you get a recording of it?
Unfortunately cant
I didnt test 2000lb ones but i think they behave the same. Gayjin also changed them so they dont glide so they changed maybe a little too much
there is a ccrp control that you can activate now in the settings to toggle ccrp
Guided bombs do not work with CCRP. They must be released manually.
Bruh jdams were literally used with ccrp in mind
JDAMs have the same release system as other guided bombs (laser or TV): the CCRp indicates when to release them but the release is done at the will of the pilot. Your bombs therefore fall as soon as you press your release command. You can change this function in the game options
Oh maybe thats why i have seen them doing it but i also had this crossed circle when using them so i ignored it
I dont know whats the option called tho
I don’t know yet what all the indicators on the A-10 HUD mean but it’s probably an out of range indicator.
I m not using it with cockpit its normal 3rd person view
Ok so this is just the normal CCRP symbology
GBUs simply don’t work with the automatic release. You have to wait for the line on the vertical bar to disappear and then press drop
Ye i just tried that and bombs still fall short. The only solution i have found is to move ccrp point little further but thats just unreliable
Im not sure what is wrong. Just tested them myself and scored multiple direct hits. When drop either using the CCRP symbology in front of the aircraft, or as its RB/third person, you can also see the CCIP indicator below the aircraft and line that up as well. Both concur.
Are you dropping on moving targets (like in GRB) or static targets? JDAMs will drop where you tell them to drp and if the target moves then it will likely miss.
No GBU can be dropped with the automatic release unfortunately, though I wish they added it. There is a setting that toggles automatic release but its for unguided bombs so you can choose to not have the CCRP automatically release them.
Well… The difference between ur test and my test is that i try to LOB THEM instead of flying in straight. I did low altitude and then pull up then drop (while holding my bomb drop key). The wierd thing as i said is that normal bombs work (they hit) but jdams just fall a short.
Also I m just confused lmao. Do JDAMs work with CCRP (holding drop keybind so they automatically release)?
No. No GBU has that at the moment and it is really annoying.
Well… 2 things.

If you are flying low, can your TPod see the target?

Its really easy to release at the wrong time with a loft attack without the automatic release. If I were to put money on it. Between server desync, general lag or just the slightly glitchyness that Ive found with CCRP. The bomb is reelasing at the wrong time. But let me test a loft profile and see what I find
Tested with a loft attack and no issues
But was in test flight and so was local host and not server host.
If I were to make a guess. Its either server lag/desync causing your CCRP indicator to be off and so you are release too early and its falling short because it can compensate enough in flight
Or
you are inadvertently locking onto to the ground in front of the target instead of the target.
Without seeing a clip or replay it will be hard to know what the problem is.
