What’s the difference between the Gripen NG and E?
Weight, rear wing design and EW.
Right now the Gripen NG would be the only unique Gripen for Sweden as no nation can get it, additionally the Gripen E specializes in Electronic warfare, adding it right now would essentially skip an even more unique Gripen and add a Gimped E model.
We dont have Meteor or IRIS-T, both NG and E can use them. But the NG would be essentially the E without the Electronic warfare system and could be added to be the equal to the EFT and other 14.0 aircraft.
That leaves the Gripen E for when we get more advanced missiles and Electronic warfare systems allowing it to utilize its main purpose.

I think war thunder should give the gripen the a-darter and bump it up to top tier considering the avionics are not great at that tier but a really good missle will even it out.

Its just more standard GB. They have spits and a EF - the rest is outclased, over BR’d or like in the case of the grippy the worst version every time
Christ it’s one of you who clearly don’t know anything about the game we’ve already had a long lengthy discussion on the actual SAAF thread that people screech and cry and call the Darter bad when it fits the Gripens mid to close range playstyle better than the 120 especially after gaijin gave the darter similar range to the 120 and even now after the changes the darter only got better at being the best close to mid range Fox 3 for the Gripper.
Now you also call the SAAF Gripen bad but you know if gaijin didn’t hand hold the SAAF Gripen it should be much worse.
its been given MS20 upgrades it never received giving britain a fake aircraft. It shouldn’t have GBU-39 or GPS bomb capabilities to begin with it shouldn’t have any CAS aside from dumb bombs To be fair the SAAF Gripen has been given a lot of stuff it shouldn’t have, far more than any other Gripen.
120s are buffed now. It has exactly zero anything over other other grippys

Nearly all fox 3s got performance buffs this applies to the darter and derbies too
You guys literally only know how to play the victim card, God forbid you don’t get to cry about something

Its one of ny most played jets- i learned TT in grippy (RIP) and EF.
Now its another dusty one- a common theme in war thunder. The more thats added and changed equates to less viable jets overall

God the GB cope is strong I’m gonna be honest nothing you say here will make me care. I’ve sat through too many of these UK cope posts to want to give any empathy too. It’s every update, “we got the worst Abrams, we got the worst EFT (lol), we got the worst spitfires, we have the worst mosquitos” and on and on it never ends
