JAS-39E for Sweden

Would maybe work between A and C but doubt it for E since it’s basically an entirely new airframe with all new electronics.

Right, I’ll write a report for it on the morrow.

That aside, is anyone able to confirm the non-functionality of MAWS? Checking in case it’s just a Linux build being borked. Again.

According to the weight and wing loading from Stat Shark, its wing area is still only 30 m^2, identical to the C. Either Stat Shark is inaccurate, or the larger wing area isn’t modeled yet.

I’m aware of the trailing edge flap extension bug report, but the wings should be larger in general due to the increased wingspan of the plane.

Should this be bug reported? The only source I can find on this is a stat sheet from Aviation Week stating 31m^2, which would give basically identical wing loading to the C. However, I’m not sure it’s a good enough source.

They’re likely not finished with the Gripen E’s model yet, but I’d say it’s always good to report to remind them and make sure they don’t forget.

It won’t dispens anything for me eother yes

you mean it not being spherical?

I mean, it’s like saying all computers are capable of running 3D CAD software. It’s true but that doesn’t mean it’s installed and working on every computer all at once. So saying it’s possible to integrate doesn’t mean it has the capability now.

More I cannot find a singular angle for it to respond to, slaved countermeasures or otherwise.

I think the flight model is still from the C. only the engine, IRST and Radar have been changed so far in terms of mechanics. At least last i checked.

It doesn’t currently slave to countermeasures.

Yeah, it’s identical outside of increased weight and a very slight increase in drag. I do wonder how much they’ll actually change at this point though (flight model wise).

This is going to come across as being a bit of a tool but it is a pet peeve; You would say the CMs don’t slave to MAWS, as that indicates the hierarchy of functionality. MAWS (Master system) dictates behaviour of CM (slave system).

So…

Therefore:

fizzer1k-5597

According to this source, it should be able to supercruise at Mach 1.25, however, in the game it only reaches Mach 1.02.

Lets hope they will accept it

Mostly because the Cd0 of that thing at any speed is too high currently. Kind of the same problem as the J-10C.

My tests from yesterday

The supercruise specs are for high altitudes, not on the deck.

I am not saying it is E but A possible to bring AMRAAM ?
