The Japanese community needs Gaijin Entertainment’s help

Many Japanese players were trying to complete the event, but their lives came to a complete standstill because the ENTIRE country was on high alert due to severe storms, floods, and even worse conditions. Japanese players had to deal with a number of problems, such as their gaming setup being destroyed, money problems and their homes being flooded and at risk of collapsing.

Some of the images are old, showing similar typhoons that have occurred in the past. But that doesn’t matter, since typhoons like this occur frequently in the region around Japan, causing similar destruction every year.

And I should mention that this typhoon has been the worst in recent memory, as the entire country is on alert and most cities are being evacuated.

Gaijin, could you extend the time limit and give some help to the Japanese players who were unable to complete the events that took place during this incident — the F-16XL fighter jet event?

In addition to Japan, many neighboring countries have faced similar problems over the years, such as South Korea and China — give players in those regions more time to complete tasks without having to pay for it.

When Gaijin shows empathy for what players go through, it gives players even more reason to support the company financially in the future. — That’s just common sense: the more popular Gaijin becomes, the better the reception it will get from players.

I would like the players who were affected by the typhoon to have another chance to complete the event. I had already completed the event before I started running into these problems. But that doesn’t change the fact that millions of people weren’t as lucky as I was.

I really hope those affected get some sort of help, preferably asap.

ngl, ideally a good few would probably be prioritizing stuff other than wt rn, but it does suck that they could have missed out due to this kind of thing

While all my sympathy is with the people affected in the region, I struggle with the priorities here…

Yeah, considering how many other places have gone through similar issues and didn’t get benefits I don’t see why Japan would be an exception in the first place and there are more serious problems than just missing an event in a video game

Which means Gaijin ought to implement a policy (and software solution) where regional disruptions are accounted for.
But of course, that would cost money and this is the The Snail we are talking about.

Well yeah, that is why those effected by it should be get an extension. Its common for deadlines to be extended by companies as part of their “good will” policies. Gaijin could do the same if it wanted to…

Gaijin doesn’t do things for free. So no, sorry no redoing the event for anyone affected. You have my sympathy but nothing will change.

My initial comment should’ve been clarified better; the help asap specifically is for their lives to get as close to back on track as possible.

Being homeless sucks, having dealt with it personally. Losing what is likely years (or decades) of memories or family heirlooms has to be tragic on a level I can’t comprehend.

Missing out on some polygons in a game is genuinely the least of one’s concerns when their life just got uprooted by something they couldn’t control.

I think that has nothing to do with Gaijin, but is just normal business practice everywhere. Disasters strike every time, everywhere, and now global companies are expected to make special exceptions in the form suggested here?

Again, I find it strange, not to say bordering on disgusting that in the face of that destruction and death of several hundred people and damages adding up to tens of billions of dollars, people worry most about whether they can play to grind some DLC…

Note: All that is completely different in my personal view from a call for actual help for the people directly affected by the disaster, people who have lost their homes etc… But also for this, a private company is not an usual vessel for such calls for aid…

Gajin cannot be accountable likely even says somewhere it TOS that they are not liable for storms yup found it so yes if Chinese government or Russian government blocked gajin games for a day gajin would not be liable or do anything about it or if your country is in conflict causing power issues gajin is not liable

“11.6. Force Majeure. Gaijin shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, power outages, internet service interruptions, or government regulations.”

I dont get why Gajin dont just give out few more days for Japanese players, Its simple dont see why not. Just my opinion.

where did I say it wasn’t tragic but 100 and 10(may rise due to missing people) are very different I’m just making sure its not misinformation I know this is unfortunate but I also know gajin has very little chance to help It’s in the TOS that gajin wont help for the following

and for the whole country would be not completely reasonable since some of it wasn’t affected and they have more to worry about than F16XL collectors item

I disagree, they lived throughout tragedy and I think maybe its good to play games and have a fun. again my opinion if I was Gajin this would be done yesterday since it doesnt affect anyone.

yes but the flooding isn’t fully over and power may not be back on for everyone affected and if gaming set ups are ruined they wont be able to or have time to worry about getting a collectors item since the storm came in September 21 (I think) that means the event vehicle could have been done (not accounting evacuations)(which I researched have started in the morning of the storm) so the f16XL event ended on the 21st but only 8 event event stages are required 9 is extra so for many people it ended on the 19th meaning Japan Playerbase could have gotten it before the storm hit anyone who didn’t is just once again unfortunate

actually last stage for vehicle started on the 17th so a few days before the storm became a big issue meaning gajin will do problaby nothing and if they do it once people will expect them to do it every time lighting strikes there power grid (or it breaks) it says once again in TOS gaijin has no responsibility for any issues not on gajins fault
