Japan and France need rank V spaa

The rank IV spaa vehicles Sub-I-II and AMX-10P (overrated at 6.3 IMO) are woefully inadequate to face the CAS that can be encountered when using French and Japanese rank V vehicles.

They really have no chance at all when they face helicopters armed with missiles that have a 2km range. The 20mm autocannons just can’t defend against that.

Italy is in similar position as the Leopard is slow firing, as is the “spaa” ZSU-57-2 coughspgcough.

Thailand should (kind of) solve this with their M163, hopefully the upgraded version. As for France there’s pretty much no excuse not to have one, especially with the options that Benelux provides.

France does not even need Benelux for SPAA options
Give me specs I’ll give you a french vehicle

Wasn’t there an AMX-13 with the same turret as the AMX-30 DCA? I don’t get why that couldn’t be a rank V SPAA. For BeNeLux, a PRTL would be nice (I’d also accept a Belgian Gepard), but France by itself has enough vehicles to fill such gaps.

Yes, there is. Early ones didn’t have a radar

Could have both radar and radarless version, though I feel like directly adding the radar version would be fine. If I’m correct these radars couldn’t differentiate between friend or foe (by 1989), showing how basic they were. I might be mistaken though.

We already got radar SPAA in rank V (M163, Yenisei…), don’t know why they haven’t added one to France yet.
