JA37C undertiered (11.3)

MiG-23 is undertiered, so using it in your argument isn’t a good way to say JA37 is fine.

Yeah, that’s if we get decompression.

Okay, the F-4E then, has comparable missiles. It’s heavier, multirole, and carries more Radar missles, with a decently strong radar when in range. It trades having more uses and weapons for speed and agility.

JA37 has PD radar, and better flight performance. F-4E has terrible radar for 2 extra radar missiles.

It’s not really a close competition.

Radar isn’t terrible, like I said, when in range, sub 10km out and above 750 meters of RALT it’s gonna hold a decent lock, even if someone chaffs it you can easily and quickly relock.

You have 2 extra radar missiles, and you can carry bombs, like I said, multirole. So you have multiple options for gameplay.

If your target is high then it’s fine enough at short ranges, however JA37 can easily kill targets where they’re normally safe.

I’d rather have better missiles (technically better radar but same thing) over more missiles.

I could carry 2 extra missiles by selecting Aim-9Gs on F-4J, however I don’t cause they’re simply worse.

meaningless in ARB, especially in regards to balance

In a sense of grinding, bombing is a good bonus. Same in Sim.

Air to air, ofc not lol.

That is not how you use the F-4E… you cant relock and this completely defeats the purpose of the AIM-7E2 being CW

Depends on target distance.

No.

only sarh with DL missiles can relock

You and @Nowel are both incorrect. I’ve literally done it hundreds of time with the F-4, MiG-21, JA37, an JAS39.

nuh uh

You can’t relock an AIM-7E2. It does not have datalink. You can “relock” within like 0.5s or less of breaking the initial lock but guess what, this is pointless and likely to cause the sparrow to lose track because the sparrow ALREADY requires pseudo notching to defeat since it is a CW missile. You are doing something that is both 1. pointless and 2. borderline a glitch and 3. pointless and did I mention 4. pointless?

“you can’t relock, but you can”

Now admitedly, yes. It is more useful for HMS planes than it is for non-HMS, but it’s still useful.

Thank you for showing how little you know about one of the most popular plane and missile in the game.

You cannot relock except so close to the initial lock that the game glitches and thinks you held the same lock the entire time. Does this wording work for you, troll?

If your sparrow is not an AIM-7P, it cannot be actually relocked after loss of lock besides this more than likely, glitch. It is also NOT USEFUL as CW missiles already require a “notch” and don’t care if your radar loses track of the enemy plane.

Look in a mirror. Your stats reflect your knowledge.

JA37C is fine at its BR. I could understand an argument to 11.7 due to its radar at most.
The radar is all that makes this plane. If it was not a PD it wouldnt be much better than an F4E.

The radar also means you are pretty much guaranteed two kills a game if you fly correctly.
