Well, I don’t see a funny bomb crosshair anywhere so I don’t think it is even close to being comparable. But 48 HEAT rockets or 8 HE rockets with CCIP is pretty goddamn strong for 8.3. Looks like a solid GRB 9.3 to me.

Ground is pretty compressed but this is just compressing it even more than it already is

Well unless the game is straight up lying, you could carry 7 250kg bombs which is quite a lot, that’s what custom loadouts are for. The SAAB caps at 6 and I don’t think it has the power to haul 6 1000lbs bombs which would be the only way for it to beat the A32 in firepower.
So basically SPAA is doing half it’s job, nice. Can’t exactly disagree that you are better off with bombs, though why wouldn’t you just use the lighter more efficient bombs that are just slightly weaker.
Indeed. A lot of these vehicles should have received their big GRB BR bump when that was added to the game, but they didn’t for some unholy reason.
Well this isn’t the “CAS stinky” general thread so naturally I would at least start with something related to the main topic instead of immediately bringing up every bad aircraft ever.
Well if I actually played russia maybe I would. Also I never said it’s easy, almost no one chooses rockets over bombs because they are hard to use effectively and you end up wasting at least half of them even with CCIP.
I can tell you right now that the S-5 and S-21 rockets are not as good as you think, and that also the way they are mounted at a canted 45 degree angle also makes it more difficult

Xou can in fact not carry 7 250s IDK where you got that from. The max number of 250kg bombs carried by the A32A is 5. You can supplement them with 120kg ones but the point still stands
It is well within the maximum and wing weight limits, but I guess the plane has it’s loadout slots restricted to specific weapons.
Oh well, with a stack of rather weak 120kg bombs it still does remain more powerful than the SAAB, though you can’t really rely on them to destroy anything with thicker armor than a leopard. We could also count in the cannons, but I don’t see them doing very much without you dying.
