J10C and J15T countermeasures

Yeah I always thought countermeasures in the form of ew or chaff were multipliers in effectiveness, so good to see that it is validated in testing trials.

could we make a balancing argument on this topic? like how mirage 4000 got its nonexistent cm pods.

It’s unfeasible to play at 14.7 with 48 countermeasures.
People only talk about realism when it suits them.

It would get completely out of control, can you imagine what a nightmare a balanced War Thunder would be?

Once an example is made, everyone is going to be asking for ridiculous changes that stretch way too far.

supposedly there considering giving it more since IRL it relys one EW equipment which gaijin doesnt model cause it be broken

so as a comprimise there thinking of giving it more flares as 48 flares in modern 16v16 with 14 missiles each isnt viable

every toptier plane should atleast have 300 small or 120 large minimum as it make it fair as you can just spammed launched at and do nothing

But increasing the countermeasures of these fighters isn’t a ridiculous request. Do you think it’s possible to play at 14.7 with 48 total countermeasures?

it isnt your barely able to do it anyone saying so is not speaking from a objective facts rather only speaking of there there own opinion rather than objective truth of said country

literally happens all the time with german a british players but its basically all one sided

realism needs moderation too much realism kills the game look at naval realism killed it cause they put all the realism in wrong areas

48 countermeasures are playable, but not ideal. You can take 8 Flare 40 Chaff and do well, but nobody wants to do that.

I do hope they find a way to give it more, but if not then whatever, the plane will still be okay.

Though it COULD go down to 14.3.

barely if you try to bvr you are done for someone in a SU30SM2 could literally just spam you till you run out considering later additions will have more missiles itll only become worse

your forced low alt which is massive disadvantage with only 48 flares you gotta rely on multipath

Then don’t BVR? You’re never gonna be able to beat an SM2 in BVR no matter how many countermeasures you have due to the Irbis-E’s 120 degree gimbal.

This plane should not engage in the early game missile spam, and instead pick targets off one by one in mid-late game.

Not every plane has to be absolute meta like the SM2 or Rafale to be playable.

majority will be dead by then if played that way toptier matches dont work like low tier they average 5 minutes max

It’s amazing how every interaction I see from you on the forum is always negative and shows unparalleled intellectual dishonesty.

It’s amazing how you distort what is said and invent ways it wasn’t said.

I said that there is simply no official data/source confirm or deny the actual number of countermeasures on these fighter jets.

The amount of CM these fighters carry in the game is based on the number of visible cartridges; we don’t know if these aircraft have internal (non-visible) storage or not, or if they have multiple dispensers.

If this aircraft comes to the live server like this, with only 48 countermeasures in patch 14.7, it will be unplayable.

Since the exact number of countermedia shots is uncertain, and we only have speculation based on the visible cartridges and a somewhat grey area.
Furthermore, the game lacks an electronic countermeasures mechanic, which further penalizes these aircraft.

Based on the lack of official confirmation of the exact number of countermeasures and the absence of electronic countermeasures mechanics, the most sensible decision would be to give the J10C and J15T more countermeasures for balancing reasons.
I even think this type of decision could be extended to more vehicles, but to stay on topic I’ll stick to the J10C and J15T.

It’s a fact that 48 cm on the 14.7 in the 16V16 model will be a disaster.
It’s a fact that 72 CMs on the J-10C are very few, and the aircraft suffers a lot because of that. The fighter is a good platform; it just needs adjustments to work well in the game.

Many vehicles in this game need adjustments for the game to function well. There’s no problem with making these adjustments with the disclaimer “we know that this may not reflect reality, but it’s the closest we can get to it and we keep the game balanced; these adjustments are only for balancing purposes.”

Realism for you is a wild card that you only invoke when it suits you.

nothing should be meta giving it more flares wouldnt make it meta it literally just allows it to defend itself as this plane IRL relys on electronic warfare which isnt in game

You won’t be arriving to the battlefield late, you’re just not gonna fly high and thats it.

Sucks to be a Chinese plane fan, plane will still be very much playable. Just ration your countermeasures and split them 6/42 or 8/40.

42 or 40 Large caliber chaff are enough to play top tier.

flying high is the biggest advantage in toptier altitude is everything

higher alt more range higher less muti path works you can get lots of kills up high

You can loft your missiles while flying low to bypass multipathing. Flying high isn’t always a advantage, there are cons to it too like being more vulnurable to missiles.

J-15T will simply have a different and more conservative playstyle compared to something like an SU-30SM, and thats compeletly fine.

yea relagated to a support plane like every other top tier thats not meta
