all aspect really wouldnt affect how strong it is. its best used on sneak attacks thanks to its speed and short burn time anyways.
I think even worse is its lackcluster flight performance. Its geniunely horrible to fly.
PL-5Bs are good missiles.
But being rear aspect, maneuvering will be a thing you will do a lot. WIth the bad airframe that bleeds all energy in a slight turn, you will need to rely on a extremely powerful engine to regain that energy quickly, which J-7D does not have.

I really fucking hate this kind of comment because it always assume that everybody is clueless as shit. it ain’t, people preflare in 10.7 “just in case”, and even some very close launch get defeated by one flare tap, all that bullshit about “its the best missile at it’s BR” get shafted to pig bum when you consider this horse phallus strapped on a jet get flared with small caliber flare in just 1 tap + the plane can’t dogfight even if jesus himself were to bless this plane with his entire body worth of blood thrice + the gun is really a high skill floor shit that is less consistant than 3.7 Hispano 404 that has one of the shittiest belt setup WT has ever introduced. Maybe it’s OP when used against you because you can’'t be bothered to flare, but my ass defeated J-7D with F-5A from so many position I lost count.

I agree. The inferiority of the airframe, is further emphasized when you get uptiered to 11.7. These planes don’t bleed all their energy in one turn.

I have easier time shooting at speeding MiG-23ML from a frontal side merge with F-5 gun than shooting A-10 at 300kmh straight line rear aspect with GSh-23. that gun is cursed as shit.

Fuck off. I have more failed shot against slow moving target from EVERY SINGLE SITUATION from slow airspeed to depleted energy state with GSh-23 when compared to the amount of succesful shot I made with M39, M61A1, DEFA, and fuckin N-30.

PL-5B is glorified jet cock that got its reputation because clueless fucks doesn’t do gut feeling flare and read the minimap. with a slight awareness and one flare tap when you feel shit gonna go wrong it’s useless like 9J.

I have 1K games in this dogshit. it ain’t THAT good. missile bus with practically 0 kill potential when it’s most potent kill device can be defeated by accidental flare tap and dogfight like an amputated dog isn’t that good. F-5A is a better plane by miles and you can’t convince me otherwise.

Real. Especially after the MiG-21s FM nerf,it cant even turn fight anymore. You send PL-5B on a plane 3km away and single flare anywhere on the way makes the missile miss. Also its funny seeing opinions on J-7 from someone who dont even have it like Zanna
PL-5B Is the most flare resistant non-IRCCM missile in the game, paired with the fastest airframe at 10.7
The J-7D always has the initiative, you get to pick and choose your fights
It was already pretty good at 11.0, no reason to drop it to 10.7, it’s definitely the best 10.7 in the game
