Are there any reliable sources that would say that ASVL-500 is a container for MITL?
As far as I can see, the VRVZ-200 doesn’t have MITL. Official brochures don’t mention it.
However, I’ve seen frequent mentions of it in unofficial sources. So where did they come from?
I saw a few of these images, including one showing a version equipped with R-60s. However, that isn’t the variant we have in the game, so it could easily be added as a separate vehicle in the tech tree.
I really hope we get a Yugoslav tech tree in the future and then they can pull off a what they did with Israel and remove all the premiums.

They’re just slow Kosava’s, easy to shoot down. Its a fun gimmick but not as good as simply rippling off 6x IR AGMs in the 10.7 A-10A in quick succession and returning to the airfield
There’s even MITL at 10.3 on the Buccaneer.
Heads up, for future reference, any weapon with the TV or IR guidance, the IOG and GNSS tags can be ignored because they don’t technically do anything yet, the TV IR part always overrides it.

IoG does work with TV and IR guidance. It is the fallback condition in the event the seeker loses lock of the target, it will follow the target’s expected path.
It doesn’t actually, when they lose lock they just stop turning and glide in, same as any TV/IR without IOG would. If its already in the terminal approach phase, that glide path can still cause it to hit maybe. But if it hasn’t turned into approach yet, if its lofting for example, then it will glide off target.
IOG/GNSS only work on pre-launch while not locked on to a target, but IR/TV can only be fired locked on so by default overrides the IOG/GNSS

GNSS is not a fallback condition for IR/TV munitions, and does not mean anything to the weapon at present. IOG is a fallback condition where the weapon, upon losing track, falls back to inertial guidance. This means it follows the current path, assuming the target is taking a consistent path. This can be easily demonstrated by launching a weapon, and having the target move on a path that begins in the open and is then covered. The missile assumes the path, and if the target follows that assumed path, it will resume tracking once it is unobscured.
It is part of what makes weapons like kh38 so tedious.
Ingame, IOG+GNSS is handled as simply IOG with zero drift.
Regardless, there’s not really a fallback condition for IOG/GNSS, its for initial launch behaviour.
You can test it by firing Kh-38ML’s in laser mode, and then immediately disabling the laser. It doesn’t fallback to GNSS it just crashes into the ground randomly. The laser already overrode the GNSS input.
Similarly, the LMUR’s are currently bugged and will frequently lose lock the second you launch them. Despite having IOG and GNSS, they fly off into space or crash into the ground randomly. They don’t fallback to either GNSS or IOG.
Similar behaviour with the Kh-38MT’s as well.

Laser guided weapons do not have inertial guidance as a fallback. This has been the case for a long while. IR and TV weapons do fall back to this situation.
It really isn’t. 38 falls back to inertial guidance fine, which is especially obvious under 10km. A target can be obscured by smoke, a building, etc, but upon no longer being obscured if they followed the same path as the inertial guidance predicts it will reacquire the target. If it can’t find the target, it will follow inertial guidance into the incorrect impact point.
If it’s behaving incorrectly, report it. With the amount of tweaking LMURs have gone through recently, it’s entirely possible someone broke it.
You are just wrong here. Terminal phase just hitting near it would not re-engage the tracking on an obscured target that leaves that position from significantly further up without inertial guidance being the fallback.
But I really don’t care enough to continue this. Being wrong is the prerogative of folk like you, and every demonstration under the sun could prove it thus, but folk like you would still cry “But it’s not like that”.

TV and IR munitions can reacquire targets near the crosshair, that’s normal behaviour. Its not guaranteed though
Similar to the Kh-38MT, Spikes can glide in and hit targets after losing lock to smoke for example, its not a fallback condition, they don’t have one, they’re just on a terminal glide path.
And similarly to the LMUR, the Kh-38MT’s can lose lock early and either fly off into space or crash into the ground randomly.
I wish Gaijin hadn’t put the IOG and GNSS tags in TV/IR stat cards, its caused so many complaints and misinformation
