J-22M1A - History Performance And Discussion

I don’t know where the info about Grom being based on the KH-23 comes from. From the images I saw and generally reading about it in articles, I have the impression that the development comes from US-based AGM systems. Added an image as an example. It looks far more like a SACLOS copy of a Maveric than anything to do with the KH-23 family.

Note: It had 2 motors, one in the back and the one in the middle that looks like a kh23 motor(Booster + solid-fuel sustainer motor)

edit 2: Found official sources, yes was mistaken, it did use the KH-23 as a base.

Also found something interesting, I think they are the old countermeasures for the older J-22

So, the PLAB, Fuel Tank, E-24-A1, and Grom have been added (the last two haven’t been configured for performance).

Currently, the KOSAVA 3 TM (although I think the seeker type is incorrect and should be IR) and VRVZ-240 have been configured for performance.

The M-16D and Grom-B haven’t been configured, but there are reports already.

I’d like to find out the explosive composition of the VRVZ-240 or the version with a shaped-charge warhead.

The current warhead is from the old S-24 with TNT, which is extremely weak (25 kg).

Unfortunately, I can’t find anything.

Sometimes it’s called the VRVZ-24, not the VRVZ-240.

The VRVZ-24 is the older prototype name, the VRVZ-240 is the newer pre-production/production name, I think. As I saw with a lot of other weapon types, they just add a 0 at the end or similar.

Frankly, my observations suggest otherwise. The VRVZ-24 has been encountered more frequently since 2019+.

The VRVZ-240 is obviously named after its caliber (240mm).

It doesn’t really matter; I just gave another name for the search.

The name comes from the S24 rocket; it, after all, was the basis for the VRVZ-24/240 from what I understand, hence why I said it is the old prototype name, as it was showcased for the first time in its full form in 2017 partner. And as stated in the image below it was first showcased with the 24, then later on (renamed)showcased as the 240…

The VRVZ-24 is indeed a VRVZ-240 as Pfodyeo said, but it uses what I assume is GNSS/GPS (if it were in game). It looks a bit different but the brochures show the same stats. Also it shows it having 123kg warhead (which I tried reporting, but it did not work for some reason, stating warhead isn’t explosive size Community Bug Reporting System). I really doubt it has a 123kg warhead but just that little of explosives inside ngl. Anyway.

This is also further reinforced with the E-24-1, which is an upgrade to the E-24. Also, the file name of the brochure calls the E-24-1 as the “VRVZ E-24-1”

TLDR: It uses the same body/came from the S-24 rocket, where the VRVZ-240 came from too. The main difference is just the seeker as well as some differences on the body like the fins along the body for example

I know everything you said, but in reality, there could be a lot of differences.

The brochure for the VRVZ-240 mentions a shaped-charge warhead, so perhaps they changed the warhead or at least the explosive.

That’s exactly why I’m interested.

J-22M1A missing braking parachute - was accepted
A small win in my eyes.

But he already has a parachute, or am I missing something you mean?

Really? When I tested it on the dev server, it did not have a parachute/not deploying it?

edit: Sure enough, it has it, but I do remember testing it when the dev server just came out, and it did not work.

I think it’s always worked.

Opened a new issue:
M-16D

There are still lots of wrong stats for weapons. We should start raising more issues/reports

I have already reported all inaccuracies in the missile specifications.

I need information about the LWR, as well as the warheads of the VRVZ-240 (regarding the cumulative component).

It seems the Nj-22 was unveiled at the ILA Berlin exhibition in 2012, and there was information about it there, but the link is now dead.

Maybe someone will be able to find the archive.
this link has info about LWR on Orao, but i need to ressurect it via wayback machine or something else

I think there are still a few screws missing. And there are content creators saying everything is “ok” to launch… lol
