In the promotional video, the J-10C with the livery number 74825 uses a Russian 31FN engine in reality, and I’m afraid the one in the game does too… Why isn’t it the WS-10B?

They skipped the J-10B which could have been here last year, only to add a J-10C but with AL-31 this late?

Maybe it’s just because this livery appeared at the 2024 Zhuhai Airshow, and the in-game engine is still the WS-10B after all? I don’t know—we’ll find out during the developer livestream.

Honestly, there isn’t a significant difference between the J-10C and J-10CE. However, the J-10CE definitively uses the WS-10B engine. By choosing the J-10C used by the Chinese military itself, Gaijin can essentially do what they want regarding the production batch—for example, implementing an early-batch J-10C that uses the AL-31FN engine.
And… you were unfortunately right. Though on the stream they said the engine could change.

During the livestream, the data for the AL-31FNS3 has been finalized, which indicates that this is the intended, fully-realized version of the J-10C in Gaijin’s game… “Subject to change.” Perhaps they’ve only made a promise, but when that promise will be fulfilled remains unknown. 😪

J10C should obtain the CM704 series from the folder
Does anyone know what rwr the j10c has? I keep finding references to an improved radar warning receiver but idk what it actually is.

Just like it takes just one minute to find a J-10C (with even the exact same Serial Number as in-game) with an AL-31FN-3 engine;

my bad, a bit of a stupid rant there, but still my point is correct, why they have to always model chinese planes with the laziest qualities? the community has always to feed them a truck load of reports to have chinese planes properly…
why always the bullcrap of “early” or “this specific version” to make it weaker or copypasted…?
it’s just miserable how you look forward so much to a new plane but as always you get shafted into such quibbles…

don’t worry it’s not just the chinese ones, just take a look at the current battlepass reggiane 2005 that they gave it the wrong engine with no freaking reason and no sources and we had to fight till now to finally add the missing 300hp, yes, 300hp (on the dev server has the better engine)
it’s not just china but every nation apart for a VERY specific one…
