Ok so this shell appears to be broken!
Shooting at many tanks, flat panels, curved armour so on so forth, “Breaks on impact” more often than not.! Heck even shooting mid range between the tracks does virtually nothing.
Is this broke or was it usually that bad.?? for a shell that can pen 269mm straight and even, why isnt it working as intended. Why is it non penning so much??
thats kinda just what happens with early low caliber APDS, not just the one on the sherman vc

IRL, APHE fails to fuse pretty consistently and APDS shatter rarely. In game, APHE doesn’t fail to fuse and APDS shatters constantly. Just… ‘balancing’ at work.

Don’t forget Gaijin acknowledging the fact the British used US APHE and then said “it’s for balance reasons”. Just picking and choosing realism and accuracy when it suits them.
Russians use APDS, and NATO uses APHE.
APDS only shatters on extreme angles and certain spaced armor in-game.
