The pantsir + KH38 combo is in fact at the core of an imbalance issue, i won’t disagree with you there.
Regarding VT-1s range, it is very unclear at the moment, with Thales brochure mentionning “11+ km”, while some other source mention the existence of a Crotale MK3 with a range of 16 km.
Back to the pantsir, its best missile is on Pantsir SM, and as far as i’m aware, it’s limited to 40km, not 100
Ideally and if they add shorter ranged but capable AA, intercept the missile, and somewhat threaten the KH38 slinger.

My point is, no need to implement a completely fake SAMP/T when there are other AAs for Italy that can do the exact thing you want (reach 20 to 40km) in a more realistic way.
Look, nothing against you. SAMP/T is just the first system that came to mind, and it’s also the most well-known mobile system from the Italians. Yes, if Gaijin integrates a better anti-aircraft system into the top tier for Italy, which also has, say, a 15 km range, that’s fine with me. Well it was heavily hinted if not indirectly stated in the latest behind the scenes that next generation of top tier AAs is coming next patch and one of the teased pics was identified, if i recall correctly, as that funky swedish tracked vehicle with IRIS-T trailer.
nah, the next AAs will probably cause real issues to AGM slingers, so much so that they probably won’t be able to attack tanks without dealing with AA first
Besides, we still have no proof for KH38MT 's existence. Being no match for a missile that doesn’t exist sounds quite funny i will say
one problem with placing these systems is that they are big and you won’t be able to use them on normal maps unless they put a bigger expansion for these types of anti-aircraft
Draco with DART SACLOS 40G guided ammunition should replace the Otomatic at 11.7 while it should go down to 10.7 at least. The dart would make it very good at intercepting AGMs and low alt cas
It’s so funny seeing gaijin tease competent spaa for other nations, some of which dont even need them, yet we have been stuck with goofy ahh anti ship gun at 11.3.
There is no reason we can’t just get a sky guard aspide launcher with a truck pulling it. Tldr; if gaijin wanted to they could, they just chose not to.
You can clearly see guidance radar there, attach that to a truck with someone controlling the missile. Even if it my not be totally realistic, it needs to happen for balance. I’m glad we got Osa though, honestly it’s just fine for me even at top tier.
We can give Italy the Pantsir S1 since Ethiopia has Pantsirs and Ethiopia was under the Italian rule for quite a while.
Similar to how Great Britain got the Indian Osa and Strela, Italy can get the Ethiopian Pantsir S1
Main issue with this one is that I have gone to the deepest parts of the Internet and have not found a single source on any truck with the Skyguard system, not even an Iveco truck :(
