Unless Leonardo is in the business of making different antenna for each Mk. Wasting time and effort. Its the same design.

it seems the back end is the same but the antenna are different with the ECRS mk2 taking is tech from the Bright adder demonstrator

from what i have seen ECRS mkII is quite different front end wise compared to ECRS mk0 and 1

This is by far the most detailed information I have found on ECRS MK 2, it appears to suggest it is basically a completely new radar:

The ECRS Mk 2 radar shares its platform and weapons-system interface with other Captor-E variants, via the German-supplied attack computer, and it uses the same power generation and cooling. However, the new version has no common hardware from the power supply forward, and is actually not based on Captor technology at all.

Instead, Radar Two uses a completely new open-architecture back end, married to what Leonardo has referred to as a ‘revolutionary’ multi-function array. This will incorporate both gallium arsenide (GaAs) and gallium nitride (GaN) semi-conductors, blending the strengths of these two different technologies to cost-effectively provide a differentiating military capability

Not really wasting effort if the newer antenna is better. It is widely reported that ECRS Mk 2 will use GaN based TRMs, which can transmit much more power than the GaAS TRMs on ECRS Mk 0

Yeah having a radar that can scan air ground and jam all at the same time is worth it

Might be. The joint BAE/Leonardo brochure for Mk.2 has a different graphic, that shows more or less the same back end, but a different front
