What was the radar range display showing out of interest?
I was going by the target marker distance and had the radar deactivated as it wasn’t needed for launching an IR missile and I was following the missile view with the “U” button (target marker shows the distance between missile and target in this mode) ^^

Yes, I know how dampening works. In game, it’s just a PID, and it’s tuned for high speed maneuverability, not for low speed high AOA, hence why it oscillates out of the sky.
It’s not an issue of any specific missile, they all suffer the same
That damping would be handled by the PID controller of the missile, which gaijin does have modelled in-game, the real question is how well chosen are the PID values they’ve selected
The limit of a PID is that it’s hard to tune, and it just can’t be tuned to work perfectly across such a large range of speeds as a few hundred kph to Mach 2 or more. And i’m sure people would much prefer to have missiles turning well at their usual operating speed rather than having a missile oscilalting less when it’s near stalling

Which makes sense given, iirc, those 6 pylons are all identical, so, so long as there isnt a weight or size issue (which mainly affects the only pylon its already on) any weapon should be mountable on any pylon.

Hey, we dont even have a UV Filter or an unsquished HUD. Neither would actually affect balance.
An aircraft Gaijin considers OP and thus needs to be massively restricted getting a buff like tripling its IR glide bombs… almost certainly not happening any time soon.

because they dont care about SIM at all
or at least not enough to hire enough ppl to actually develop it and fix the in cockpit issues
tbf it would be extremely unbalanced
f15e with all its GBU 53s is already pushing it, despite having a much worse flight model, much worse radar, and much worse defensive capabilities (you dont have enough countermeasures to reliably defend against IRST for more than 1-2 passes)
I could see eft getting 12, maybe 16 of them but absolutely not 24

if anything giving the EFT 16 they should go on the same pylons as the double amraam racks, because otherwise it would be blatantly overpowered by having one of the best CAS loadouts in game, while retaining one of the best air to air loadouts, with very good flight performance and radar

they are the same BR in ground RB where that would be the most problematic
and 14.3 MM is pretty much identical to 14.7 rn
Which is higher than the F-15E? I don’t see the problem here. I don’t think it should get any more SPICE-250s either, but that is born out of a desire for the damn AGMs to work as they should.

I dont get what you are trying to say here as I said earlier
the F15E isnt really comparable because if there is an enemy plane or IR SAM up it is just a free kill
it has next to no air to air capability due to the bad radar, and not enough countermeasures to survive against IR SAMs anywhere near long enough to use its GBU-53s
and on top of that it has much worse flight performance, with a poor ITR and terrible bleed rates

What? That is by far the most out of touch description I’ve ever seen of the F-15E. Its radar is immensely solid, it just lacks NCTR for some reason that Gaijin seem to have made up.
I’ve seen very few things survive top tier IR SAMs once they’ve been locked by them (i.e IRIS-T etc). I really hope you’re not talking about things like the Strela.
Correct. Which is why the EF2K is .7 in BR above it in air, which is where ITR matters more.
It has a better CM loadout than the Typhoon, so its weird to even mention it here

Weirdly the JAS39E’s BOL seems to be performing better than the EF2K’s ime. Solid chance it’s just a case of me being better at playing the game since I used the EF2K in any substantial quantity, but I’ve been able to survive against Ito90s pretty comfortably with BOL. Was a huge surprise to look back and see I’d ran out of normal CMs and that I was using BOL it was that substantial. Very peculiar.
