There is only two words that could ever describe the state of the PUMA IFV’s: Utterly useless.
I get that when this thing came out at 8.3 or whatever 4 years ago, it was overpowered on a whole other level.
Now, it is 10.3, and regularly fights T-80’s, T-72’s, and T-64’s, vehicles that unless you get side on, you cannot kill effectively.
This wouldn’t be a problem if this thing wasn’t massive. It usually can’t get on the side of them unless they flank. The only thing this thing is good for in its current state is taking 4 rounds of APFSDS to the turret, wiping out all of your ammo and your horizontal turret drive.
I see no reason why these should stay at 11.0 and 10.3 respectively. Especially since the BMP-2M (a better IFV than both of these) is at 10.0.
Here is what I am thinking:
PUMA 10.3 → 9.7/10.0
Of course, the IFV’s currently at 9.7 probably should go down too, like the Dragoon (that thing is insufferable to play). At 9.7, it would see very few to no HEAT slingers. 10.0 would work too as realistically it would be played in a 10.0 Germany lineup either way. It in no way shape or form should be a higher BR than the BMP-2M however.
PMA VJTF 11.0 → 10.7
This thing is horrendous at 11.0. Spikes don’t work most of the time and it cannot do anything reliably. I see 10:7 as fitting, as then it can also actually fit into the German 10.7 lineup.
Before you complain about a change like this, I urge you to go play both of these vehicles and experience how terrible they are.
That is not issue unique to the PUMA tho and as such it cannot be the main argument for moving them, and only them, down. Ajax, Strv9040C immidiately come to my mind.

now it sits at the same BR as Vilkas and the german CRV, and like it or not, PUMA is still ever so slightly better than them, even if by small margin.
Counterpoint: The Puma doesnt need a BR decrease it just needs fixing.
Fix the armor so it doesnt get penned by 30mm APDS .
Make MUSS work properly.
Fix the goddamn trajectory of the Spikes
Make the MK30 actually more accurate than some 550 rpm russian shitbarrel or give it the higher firerate.
Make AHEAD actually effective, if the 95Ya6M can shell out enough shrapnel to sink a carrier then AHEAD should at least work properly against plastic recon drones.
If they do some of that the Puma would actually be more than fine at its BR.
I know its reduced to make the gun more accurate but that reasoning goes out the window if a 550rpm wobbling joke is more accurate than the MK30
Also were talking about an actual option for more firerate if requested, thats more real than half of the russian equipment we have in top tier currently and equal to putting LDIRCM emitters on any AH64E in the game.
