Israel TT Wishlist - What are we lacking? (Work in progress...)

That title should belong to the Sholef V2, which is the most similar vehicle that could possibly be made, and even shares the same gun. Either that or the M109 Spark which I don’t have enough info on to share

I’d compare that more towards the rch 155 or the donar artillery if you were using German vehicles for examples

Or the rehimetall HX artillery truck

This might be a questionable addition but the IDF did operate two OV-1D Mohawk’s “Atalef” during 1974-78 or 82. If anybody is wondering. Yes it can mounted offensive armaments, including this variant. Unable to find the Atalef with weapons mounted since it was a Recce aircraft. But I have seen Argentine operated OV-1D’s (same variant as Israel’s minus the SLAR Radar) with rocketpods at least. The mounting points looks the same. And all the (important) dumb munitions Israel had them in stock.

At the very least it could be considered, either as a TT vehicle or even as a premium or event vehicle. It would add some variety to lower tier Israeli TT.

From a quick read, I found out that the only armed versions were the JOV-1A and JOV-1C (J designation for experimental attack role). Yet the OV-1D (the only one Israel recieved) never had any weapons, because it was designed that way by the US, so the weight remains for more recon and radar units.

In case of the argentinian one, it was an exception because they completely gave a f- about the US restrictions about that aircraft. And also they added gun sights and other electronic components to make it compatible with rockets, gun pods and bombs, unlike Israel that followed the restrictions and used only for surveillance.

This is because they indeed never mounted them, quite tragic but the sad reality is they were never armed and likely incapable of being armed. They aren’t viable for the game because of this.

maybe also Sabra mk III on 10.7, Pereh depending on which missiles its carry between 9.7 ~ 11.3, Achzari w/ RCWS-30 (ik, another namer bla bla bla~), it could be on 10.0 but without spikes and ofc IAI Lavi

Could we just make everyone happy and give it to anyone with a claim on it?

The TAM 2 would be a great light tank for Israel as well, and it would be easy to just add on top of a patch.

How about no. It’s German.

It’s Argentinian, actually.

Made by both Israel and Germany to some degree.

Made by Germany. Israel did nothing in its development or production. Only later modernizations

The TAM wouldn’t exist without Germany.

The TAM 2 wouldn’t exist without Israel.

Let’s be fair here. The TAM 2 isn’t a simple FCS upgrade. It’s a large modernization of the entire vehicle.

Both nations should get the vehicle.

No lmao it’s in Germany and that’s where it should stay until Argentina if ever is added somewhere else.

Would likely exist just using a upgrade from a different nation.

Once again, the TAM is an export vehicle made to Argentinian specifications. I never said to remove it from Germany; I’m simply stating that it can also be in Israel at the same time. Saying no to that is biblical levels of greed.

Which nation? Israel was, and to some degree still is, the main exporter to South American nations.

Furthermore, the argument “it’s made by a country and modernized by another, but should only got to the initial manufacturer” quickly falls apart the second you look at tanks like the Chaffee 60mm, 90mm, and Chaffee MAT ATGM variants as well as the KF41 in-game.

How does another nation getting a tank offend you so much? Jeez.

And simply shouldn’t unless Argentina is out within Israel it should stay in Germany lmao because a nation upgraded something does not mean they’ll get it. Look at the amx 30 super (very not french lmao)

Last I checked we don’t have any of theses but again it would go to the operating nation first in the case of the tams the operating nation is Argentina who’s home is currently in Germany.

Irrelevant and again it’s Hungary own variant and that’s a sub tree of Italy and Germany doesn’t need a kf41. There were domestic German kf41s marketed to the bundeswehr along with things like kf31

Firefly, M-51, Type 59, Type 69, Achilles, Eland, Desert Warrior, Type 75 SPH, LVTA4(ZIS-2), Object 211, ZTS63, ZBD86, M41D, lekpz M41, ZTZ88…

Do I need to go on?

Maybe you should lose access to all your 105mm APFSDS rounds in Germany cause they’re all Israeli? Wouldn’t that be fair? Or did you not know that?

The Bundeswehr, during the Cold War, had extensive ties to the IDF, and still does.

That’s fine. I just listed the ones we do have. The reason the TAM 2 was added to Germany was that Israel wasn’t added to the game at the time.

Do you really about 7 viable light tanks at 10.0 to 10.7?

Israel has 0 right now. Biblical levels of greed to not allow both tech trees to have the TAM 2

greedy-man-starving-family

All are vehicles from the operating nation or sub trees. Apart from the desert warrior there that ones a weird one. The type 75 sph is a domestic artillery system and the m41D is a Taiwanese domestic upgrade and that’s in China.

Some of them are correct Israeli but they were licensed brought and produced in Germany. Do you not know that? And yes Germany does have ties to the Israeli military it’s irrelevant to this conversation.

Where was that ever stated lmao even if Israel was in the game they would of been in Germany again because that’s the home of Argentinan vehicles.

There’s literally 2. The puma by no means is viable lmao it’s been dead for years (not talking about the tams here or event vehicle just domestic German ones)

Wow not every nation will be the same and have lineups and groups of vehicles. Germany has no 11.3 but Israel has 5. Notice that different nations have different lineups

Oh? But that’s not what you said.

you said “A nation that upgraded something does not mean they’ll get it”, yet all of these weren’t initially made within those nations.

The TAM 2 isn’t produced in Germany and uses Israeli ammunition, not German ammunition. Even less of a claim for you to have it by your own admission, yet I’m nice enough to take the opinion that both nations should own it.

You can’t even see your own hypocrisy.

It is not. Many developments made within Germany have Israeli ties. The TAM’s development is only one major example in this discussion.

It is not, just as Brazil is not at home in Italy, nor is Singapore at home in Israel.

TAM 2, Radkampf, Begleit, Vilkas, Boxer MGS, sWaTrgInf, R400, and technically the Wiesel 1A2.

Hell, you can even bring the Wiesel 1A4 and other lower BR light tanks like it into a 10.0+ lineup, and it’ll still be viable cause of the Thermals and weapon system.

Being mediocre doesn’t stop the PUMA from having a better 30mm than the Bushmaster and scouting. I’m talking from nearly double your experience on this game, and I have Germany maxed. The PUMA is fine.

That’s the point of filler additions.

And Germany can have 11.3 vehicles, just like Israel can have 10.0-10.7 vehicles. Only time limits their addition.

Preconceived lineups do not limit a tech tree from receiving later additions at gap battle ratings.

This statement is grasping at straws to deny a vehicle that Israel heavily upgraded with 3-axis stabilization, TIFCS gunner optics, COPAS commander optics, a new state-of-the-art fully digital FCS, a thermal sleeve for the main cannon, an APU, an all-around vision for the driver, automatic target tracking, laser warning system, fully electric turret and gun traverse mechanisms, automatic FPE, new side skirts, a new BMS, new intercom equipment, and state-of-the-art communications equipment.

Furthermore, the TAM 2 uses explicitly Israeli ammunition, not German, and was even made compatible with the Israeli LAHAT ATGM.
