On the Swift F.2 there is a radar modelled in the nose of the aircraft. On the Swift F.7 there is a better radar, as noted on the pilot model, but there is no actual radar modelled on the x-ray.
Why is that?
There is a 3km range radar but its not modeled, its only purpose is to slave the Fireflash. Bascially when you get within 3km of an enemy and see a mark on the radar you can shoot the Fireflash at thier general direction and it will guide itself without you having to do adjusments. It doesnt work very well tho, use it only in headons.
But why dont they model it? On the F.2 it doesnt have any real purpose but its modelled anyway
Gaijin quality control is terrible, and the game has so many issues that the devs only focus on whats ‘‘important’’ for them to fix, mostly top tier stuff, and even that can take months to years. And it doesnt really matter if the radar has a model in the xray or not, it works either way.
Also i think the radar on the f2 (and other smiliar ‘gun radars’) work for sim in cockpit view at 1km where the cockpit sight calculates lead for you and you only have to put the crosshair on target, but im not sure about that.
