Look, I might be wrong here, but I took it out for a spin today and it honestly seems kinda sad. I think 8.3 would be better for it as it shouldn’t be up with 35mm spaa that are way more deadly than it. Sure, it can be annoyingly fast but it is almost unplayable when stock due to rubbish hvap ammo and it has low ammo and very limited pen. The best u can do is barrel and track medium tanks, but by then half ur ammo is gone. Anyone disagree?

I think problem isn’t XM800T or its BR. Problem is that at the moment there are SPAAs that fill most of the role of XM800T,BTR-80A, Wiesel and other autocannon armored fast vehicles. Yes you’re not scouting with XM246 or Gepard and you’re not really as stealthy as something like XM or Wiesel. But you get similar rate of fire with rounds that can do so much more.
My opinion is that XM800T is at correct BR how well it did at 8.0 and 8.3 but 35mm SPAAs make it feel like it is too high.

yea I have both XM246 and XM800T and I can say that XM800T could come down to 8.3 because XM246 is way better at lower BR, no reason to play XM800T anymore now that XM246 is added lol

thats the wrong conclusion from a Real problem
XM246 is the single Strongest 35mm Oerlikon carrier currently in game, it should have a Higher BR
XM800T is a very diffrent tank, its a Light and Fast Scout tank, if you play it with only a Very small amount of Tactic then it’ll easily bring Nukes at higher BRs too
I would rather fight the XM246 than the Itspv any day of the week at 8.7

it it wasnt using the fake german belt it should be 8.3.
Reminds me of the Type 87 RCV (P) at 7.7. Trying to upgrade it and the thing feels like … garbage. It’s using a 20mm gun that was introduced at BR 5.3 in the Sub I-II.
Or the Type 87 RCV at 9.0. 9.0???
Sure they bumped the gun up to 25mm, but… no STAB.
Why the heck is that thing at 9.0?

If you’re not doing well, you’re not flanking well. XM800T destroys Japan 9.3 too so no need to drop it to 8.3.

It really needs the apds to be competitive though, the hvap pen is just abysmal.
It shouldnt have a german APDS for an accurate representation though. Im firmly on the side of giving vehicles their maximum realistic capability and balancing off of that instead of giving it a better shell or keeping better (already in game) ordinance just because gaijin really wants a thing at a certain BR
It would still shred light vehicles with the HVAP. Ive used the same HVAP on the Ratel 20 in several matches and its perfect for barrel and track shredding, will side pen many things too. being really damn fast and fully stabilised it would perform really well still
It shouldn’t be 8.7 worthy, but it is because of awful map design massively benefiting small, fast, ratty vehicles and game design benefiting autocannons.

Yes. Do you have any other questions? Stock performance doesn’t and should not affect where a tank goes in BR.

given that the 35mm API-T is actually APHE and has more explosive filler than the Russian 57mm shell everyone likes to complain about…
Not to mention all the bugs/ armour holes making them over preform
The XM800T is still my go to 5 nuke a day printer.
In my mind the higher it goes the better it gets until a certain 9.3 bc of you know what Nation.
This thing cannot be 8.3 like my last post the hugher the better 8.7 means in full downtiers it faces Maus’s IS6 IS4M and all the 7.7 heavies also 7.3 is just 7.7 but worst bc of more armour like the IS3 and ect.
