Is Top Tier Sim Finally Dead?

Here’s a heavy drag riddled F-15.

Still sustaining about the same as that clean F-16 yet this eagle has Cl tanks and 8 missiles slapped on it.

The Su-27 is not at 50% fuel in the chart. You need to learn how to read the manual. Su-27 has two fuel states; normal fuel and overload fuel.

The turn rate chart is for 50% of normal fuel which is 25% total fuel.

The heavily loaded F-15 that you are referencing is only doing around 11-12 degrees per second compared to over 12 degrees per second for the heavy loaded F-16A.

The sustained rate for both planes worse when loaded to similar fuel fractions. You’re also ignoring the important of bleed and gain rates when it comes to rate fighting.

There are charts available for F-16 at 50% fuel fraction and 2 missiles. You could use that as a point of comparison and you would see that F-16 has a higher sustained turn rate. It seems to me that you are trying to cherry pick your dataset and deliberately misinterpreting it in order to prove yourself right.

I’ve never seen data sets for 50% fuel viper with missiles

Korean doc posted above is likely 50% fuel. There is also other doc that is from fighter weapons symposium that has been used in the past.

Is there anything more official?

Top tier SIM is not always dead but frequently. Yesteday I tried to join to battles to spade my Ef2k, but I would not even take off and the opponent team was chasing me right at my airbase. All airbases were camped.

No fun.

Was asking the flanker people about it, yeah that’s odd it’s tanks 1-4 but only 50%.

Its sustained G isn’t as impressive as I originally assumed.

Yeah.
So it’s actually overperforming by quite a bit in sustained turn rate while underperforming in lift at a given aoa (24 degrees)

Is it though? The only Max ITR chart I’ve seen is the 27 vs F-15 plot and that’s for unlimited AOA not 24 degrees.

But I can be wrong due to lack of knowing the Russian language lol. So take it with a pinch of salt.

This is a V-N diagram they are usually used for the max achievable G at a given speed.

So 8G at .475 ish Mach according to this. Seems realistic to me.

I’m talking about dive limits within a given g load and aoa.
Basically the su-27sk doesn’t pull enough gs when pulling out of a dive according a specific chart which indicates it doesn’t have enough lift.
It says fixed but it still doesnt meet the charts

Unfortunately for the way this is done it has nothing to do with lift. This just merely plots height lost when pulling X G from X dive angle at X speed. It doesn’t include the actual G capability.

It is also missing the time till G mark and lots of other information.

Here is one for the AV-8C harrier. See how it actually tells you stuff. Even tells you when the aircraft will enter heavy buffet and might not achieve the exact quoted G.

Confidently wrong yet again. The old version of the plane could not meet the performance metric stated on the chart because it’s lift coefficient was too low. It’s lift coefficient is still too low by the way but it’s not reportable.

There is a chart for its lift coefficient lol. I’ve seen this too.

Use that not a dive recovery plot. Dive recovery plots don’t tell what G at what speed for what AOA regardless of what planet you want to live on. They tell you loss of altitude when recovering from a dive or attack.

It’s still not a perfect match to the Cl chart. After its last Cl buff recently it’s fairly close now.

It’s still missing lift.
The dive recovery chart has conditions and airspeed that if should be able to pull 8G at.

The current planes lift coefficient peaks at around 1.5 around 32 degrees AoA. Manual shows it should reach around 1.5 a lot sooner. Also designers say max CL is around 2.0 or greater so it’s lift past the 24 AoA limit is also reduced.

This shows it’s fine.

Show I don’t think so

Can’t break even on SL anymore going for objectives so why bother? It used to be fun going for ground objectives and maybe getting into a couple dogfights but now it seems the only way to break even is to have the best equipment and hunt. If I wanted that I would play ARB.

I just watched a replay and my glide bombs don’t even hit the air base? They just disappear.

I normally go for ground battles and take out the tanks, then go for a cap point for some dogfighting. If nothing else is up, I bomb an airfield. Ground battles seem to be bugged and sometimes just never spawn.

Gaijin this isn’t hard. I know you can just put out another premium and run a sale for it a few months later, but why not try to make the gameplay more compelling so more people want to play?

This isn’t possible.

basically air rb ec.
Gaijin ain’t wanna do allat

No no no. Remove Air Arcade for 8.0 and above because ARB above 8.0 is basically arcade. Rename ARB for 8.0+ to Air Arcade. Then, make a copy of Air Sim, name it ARB, and give it ARB controls and a shorter timer but with no names above people’s heads and dumb arcadey nonsense that’s in ARB today. I would play the heck out of that.

And then go fix all the problems with Air Sim because it’s just broken today.
