Is this supposed to happen regularly?
It happens pretty frequently that in Air Arcade. as a 11.3 BR player (F-5A, J-8B, J-7D) I get matches against teams with one or two F-18C which are 12.7 BR. That is 1.4 difference and it’s insanely difficult to fight something like that.
How can I avoid this?

from what i’ve found, it doesnt really make sense tbh with the 5A at 11.3 in AB

You can’t unless Gaijin changes how AB MM works. It’s possible to create a lineup with lower BR planes and 1 higher BR one to move the lineup 0.3/0.4 lower than the highest BR plane in it.

So solution is just doing Realistic Battles at this BR, no matter the vehicle?
You could abuse the same mechanic yourself, or not spawn when you see those enemies.
Here are the specific equations for MM. If you want to play 11.3s at 11.0, take 1 10.7 and one 11.3 for example.
