There’s no conflict here. Gaijin makes money, while tensions escalate between other players and Chinese players. Eventually, no one pays attention to the actual game content anymore, because players are too busy blaming each other. In the end, Gaijin is still the winner.

I think we might be saying the same thing from different angles…
You are saying Gaijin wants players fighting each other rather than focusing on the games actual issues.
I’m saying Gaijin wants the most possible players spending money.
so Gaijin will prioritize China due to player base, but by stoking the conflict between Chinese an other nations players, they both distract form actual game issues an letting them claim “player pressure” for their decisions.

Solution is very simple here: give M1A2T and Oplot-P (correct one, not this abomination from dev server) to China and give VT4 to Japan.
Will gaijin do it? Think not.

Did you mean it as not adding the VT-4 was questionable? or that adding it was? I read it as adding it was questionable, but that might have been a misunderstanding on my part.

Before this, I believed that the VT4 should not be added to Japan in the September update because it was during China’s Victory Day. Adding the VT4 to Japan at that time would have been a dark humor. However, the issue of adding VT4 to Japan, as a point of contention, was amplified within the Chinese community, leading the problem to evolve into a stance that “the VT4 must never be added to Japan.”

Still no J-10B when it’s overdue for about a year, wouldn’t even C&P a Su-30MK2 into the Chinese tree despite China being the first client of said model and instead a non-competetive JH-7.
No I don’t think they listened, they even said China will be getting top tier jets in the blog.

Before this, there had been leaks about adding a Singaporean line to the Chinese tech tree. However, this plan also faced significant opposition within the community, though Chinese players didn’t have a particularly strong reaction to it. In the end, Gaijin’s approach was to disperse the Singaporean vehicles to other nations. But this VT4 incident seems to have been blown out of proportion, as if someone is deliberately fueling it.

I’m fine with it being delayed until early next year so it’s not released on the 80th year of Chinas liberation… but no more complaints after that!

Yes, these are all factors that Gaijin’s planning team should have taken into consideration. Clearly ill-timed leeks were allowed to circulate, and although leeks don’t represent official statements, they are almost always accurate.

The whole VT4 debacle was based on it being on a leak-list with gaijin never saying it was going to come. I’m as Western as it comes, and don’t really care if the VT4 is in the Thai subtree of the JP tree, however even I could see the possible issue of adding it days apart from the production country’s victory day over the other. Gaijin themselves never said it was coming nor when, but we will see if it comes this update or the next.
I for one don’t see many folks playing it but it’s one of those ‘cool to have’ type of vehicles imo
I do personally think it should be added, as it is one of the main vehicles operated by the Thai army. It’s also worth mentioning the VT4 they added to China last patch was specifically a vehicle owned by Norinco themselves, and is not identical to the Thai production model, it’s slightly different in some areas.

I am feeling like this forum is about to create huge chaos…
with the exception of the vt4 decision, in general China is an extremely boycotted nation in War Thunder.
Especially in the air, China is always 2 to 3 patches behind Russia, the only exception was the "Dance of the Dragons " patch.
We can say that China and Israel are the nations most hated by the gaijin.
China is still treated by gaijin as a minor nation when it should be a major nation like the US and Russia (especially in the modern period).
With the amount of aircraft that China could receive such as Su30MKK, Su30MK2, J16/D, J15/T/B/D, J11BG/D (prototype), J10B/C, F-CK-1 A Ching-kuo /F-CK-1 C Hsiang Sheng.
China did not receive anything in this patch, the last edition was J11B which is a plane similar to the SU27SM but China received it almost 1 year after the SU27SM.
Russia is receiving the second SU30 and China has not received its SU30. (there is even a mk2 version that China also operates, in fact the mkk and mk2 version was made for the Chinese market).
China was supposed to be on the same level as the main nations (US and Russia), but for some reason the gaijin neglect it.
I understand and often support the revolt of Chinese players, I feel the same frustration as them regarding China within the game.
