I am on the ground with my Mirage, and F4S is coming to me and lock and fire AIM-7F although i am still on the ground.
Is this a bug or it is supposed to be?
PD radars detect movement towards or away from the aircraft so even on the ground it should detect you

I have been killed like that a few times now, and I have also killed someone who was sitting on the airfield not moving. I am no expert on radars, but I thought they worked by the targets movement. I should probably watch a YouTube video on it or something. I am interested to see if you get a good answer here.

When i flying F16 or F15 in DCS, these radar not working like that,
I know the PD radar detect movement toward but actually, it seem to be unable to lock or track target on the ground
And it should track target above the ground , not on the ground
This is the first time I have met it, when I try to raid their airfield, my radar seem to be unable to track or lock the target on the ground. only IR missile has worked
DCS isn’t a 100% accurate simulator and I don’t know how radar should actually work IRL but it doesn’t seem beyond the realm that as far as war thunder goes you would be able to lock targets as they’re taking off

I knew it, but DCS is most closely to some thing real that can be simulate . and it is simulated better than War thunder
