This happens to all flankers too, but since all flankers are HMD only, not many people notice. I hope this is an intentional change. Because now the Radar’s ACM is very easy to lock on to the target I want.
What exactly is the issue?
The Mig-23’s ACM before the update would be placed in the middle of the high box, but now it is placed at the bottom. This makes locking on targets with ACM much easier than before.
I haven’t played any MiG-23s but I have drive tested the ML and I don’t remember the ACM being any different to this?
Considering also I don’t remember seeing the radar of the MiG-23s in any change logs.
The crosshair of the Mig-23 and all Russian aircraft is placed in the middle of the ACM as shown in this picture. But after the update it is placed at the bottom.
That’s why I’m not sure if this is a change or a bug. I hope it stays like this forever.
Oh I probably know why. Go in the test drive. Open ACM at like 1k altitude while you fly to the ground and then do the same but fly up. After 2k-ish altitude in meters you’ll change to normal ACM and not ACM MTI. I’m assuming this is the reason.
If it’s not the case then ig they changed the ACM mode.
