Wouldnt surprise me if it came out that Gaijin was artificially nerfing Britain taht way. Every single match I do seems to always be an uptier (Britain main btw)

I think the bigger issue is that a lot of our vehicles are probably over BRed and we are massively punished by pure APDS. Which is massively nerfed. Meanwhile everyone else has APHE which is massively overperforming.
This means that, even equal tier matches, can quite often feel like huge uptiers in itself. Grinding through that range myself, It felt like a blackhole that had no end and just sucked. it took me months to finally get past it and into the better tanks starting with Cheiftains. Thats when I started to have fun again and didnt feel like the gamemode literally unplayable.
Doesn’t help that we also have basically no decent SPAA until 8.3 and the air support is pretty poor until the Canberras or Buc S1 at 8.3/8.7 respectively.
APDS is pretty much a shadow of what it used to be. Post pen got nerfed to APCR like levels, makes Britain’s mid-range vehicles kinda rough to play nowadays.
Yes, because when I drive around the corner in my T-72, get shot through the turret ring losing my breech, gunner and engine, than the guy that shot me sits 5m in front of me and slams round after round into the center of my UFP for the entire 45sec repair and then gets nuked it’s CLEARLY bias that he couldn’t even try to hit my LFP, driver hatch or back up 2 meters and shoot me through the side…This happens A LOT.

It’s almost like adding a bunch of metal components around the ammunition protects it from spalling somewhat, but when I pointed that out in the thread about adding the auto loader models I got told that “Russia main shut up! you tank gets nerf LOL” (paraphrasing a little but that’s the gist of it).
I agree that the conqueror is good but let’s face reality, you’ll be uptiered in it up to 8.7 the vast majority of the time.
And yes it can very well perform in uptiers, I love that thing but I despise it’s massive weakspot that is the mantlet, it can be frontally penned by some SPAAS lol…
The 120mm apds is very clunky and you very often needs more than 1 shot to destroy an opponent and well with a 18-16 second reload, you’re at a massive disadvantage.
That being said, when employed well in a hull down position and at the rear cause the damn side plates on this thing are only 51mm you can wreak havoc, you have a good gunner zoom and a rangefinder so it’ a pretty good sniper.
Brit 7.7 is a very nice lineup, beside the scimitar and fox, I just can’t make them work at all for me but the Caervarnon is a very good tank, centurion when well employed is good too but the APDS performs poorly and it’s a well known fact.
Brits and Germans have broken 6.7/7.7 br’s,not going to mention Italians since they are just MG food at those BR’s
Both get constantly uptiered and neither has an answer to constant heat/darts they encounter
Both USSR & US got prototypes to fill that gaping hole ,we got nothing.
Reason we get uptiers is that other nations don’t play lineups they have on those BR’s ,knowing that they will get downtiered.
Only US players you will see playing 6.7 lineups are ones that are unlocking stuff further up the tree,same with RU . At least you have some planes there.

You get more uptiers in certain br ranges because of certain premiums.
Lets say you play 7.7, there are some very good premiums at 8.0, 8.3, and 8.7 that are played very often. When you play these premiums yourself, you tend to stay at their br (as soo many people play them). But play a different br (and sometimes nation) you will often get dragged into these matches.
You can abuse this with some tanks like the Chieftain mk10 and often get downteired bc it hits 8.0 but can’t be brought into the premium 10.3 lobbies. The main culprit is compression. Britain specifically has a very compressed 7.7 to 8.7 region that is not very fun to play in because of the tech gap between not only its own tanks, but also tanks of other nations (think Centurion mk3 against T55amd1).
in their current state id genuinley place them at 7.0 with the FV4004 and AVRE they are trash now. I was a fox main before it got gimped, it cant keep up with clovis or XM800 at all now
in this game there are vacum brs and some countrys have more vehicles close to vacum brs example german 6.0s have to fight 6.7 almost every match while most 5.7s dont
