Put more concisely, the US suffers from being both mediocre and popular at the same time at the upper echelons. Some nations are mediocre, some are popular, but no other nation is both.

regardless of skill, Abrams is just bad. It being easily accesable to new players is just part of the problem.

From my perspective, just the sheer quantity of AIMs / Clickbait’s is incomparable to any other countries top tier premium spam. Any time i get put on the side opposing US, they make up a significantly smaller portion of the team than they do on the US team, and this constantly sabotages US teams.
Russia has an identical problem down at 10.3 with all the 2S38 / T72 Turms / T80UD spam. In both examples, the vehicles are not the problem. It’s the lineups (or lack thereof) the average player on the team has which is the problem.
Both Russia 10.0-11.0 and US 11.0-12.0 have some excellent players within them who do great with the lineups available to them, But they are too few in number to carry the burden.
US 12.0’s probably are mediocre, but the winrates are atrocious. And that’s because most of the team is not using those mediocre 12.0’s, they’re using the atrocious 11.3 premium ‘lineup’.

I see plenty of old players who doesn’t seem to know how to use it at all, the bad record were not entirely contributed by premium noobs, just mostly USA mains being bad at the game and conveniently shift the blame to new players. Over the years Abrams continues to receive buffs and first they got their reload buff, then now some get better ammunition while other nations get their better ammunitions removed and most stay the same, their winning rate hadn’t improve lol now Leopard will have issues hitting some targets at some angles, let see if USA improves for the following months lol, I don’t think so.
Ammunition buffs don’t add that much. Anything above 550 is plenty for top tier and the difference between 598mm pen and 629mm of pen is insignificant. The reload buff was good but lets not pretend the addition of the M829A2 for the Clickbait is anything big when it could already use the M829A1.
Something like a volumetric turret ring would be worth much more than even the reload buffs. I’d be happy to revert the reload buffs and ammo buffs for that. I can’t make any promises that winrates will improve though. New players ruining top tier is a real thing and I see more Clickbaits than T-80UE-1s or 2A4Ms.
Theres also a distinct lack of competitive AA for the US. The ADATS is amazing close range and good at multiroling but anything beyond 6-7km, the missiles become very slow and overcorrect. Its Optical targeting sometimes also doesn’t like to lock targets. We need something close to the Pantsir’s level of anti-SEAD.

Suppose they do buff the turret ring, Suppose they do add DU inserts in the LFP, suppose they do all this stuff i see US mains asking for.
How does any of this help the five minute steam rolls caused by half the team being back in the hangar within two minutes? Is it just praying that enough of the skilled top tier US players who migrated to other countries return and dilute out the premium spammers?
I can’t see any reasonable amount of buffs allowing Sep players to overcome the 2-3:1 numerical odds they often find themselves up against a couple minutes into any given game.

Theoretically if they did add all of those buffs, it would mean players would die less and be there for the SEPs.
Abrams basically is bad tank in low skill player. Now Gajin store is sale. I had seen a lot of T80U-E1 with noob skill can do something more than Clickbait. Luckly in 4 round i played, Clickbait player play better than those T80U-E1 by play defensive and hull down. Meanwhile T80U-E1 player rush B like god with nothing can pen them in first shot.
If you guys affair 1 dead premium player, you already have solution. Look War Thunder Mobile, They sale Whole Premium Line Up. And i am still doing it in WT.
I hope they add few more Premium Abrams same BR with ClickBait for my line up in 11.7.
I just struggle to see it. How strong would a buffed turret ring be in absolute best case scenario? 200mm? 300mm?. DM53 / 3BM60 is still punching clean through. Even if they made it impenetrable i’d put money on the Veteran 2A7 / BVM players adapting and still clowning the army of clickbaits.
Idk what the solution to fixing US is as long as premiums are being sold in the volume they are. Ironically the solution may be to sell even more premiums. A premium SPAA. A premium light tank etc. If all these people are going to buy their way to the top, at least let them buy a complete lineup? Idk.
Protection against autocannons. The Abrams’s weak turret ring is the main reason why I still bring the 2S38 and BMP-2M to top tier. I’ve also been straight up disabled by a Falcon/Gepard in the Abrams just by looking at me and spraying.

That’s fair I guess. Still, feels like a far too little far too late kinda fix is all.
Only solution I can think of (Short of dropping the clickbait down to 10.7) is to decompress top tier. Everything currently at 12.0 (let alone 11.3-11.7) could be easily spread accross multiple BRs.
Abrams, Challengers, Ariete, Leclercs (basically anything not currently a Leopard 2A7) struggles at top tier just because of how big a range there is in performance between the best and the worst. Would then also allow “accomodations” for the lower average skill of the US players, without breaking the game with stupid BRs

The extreme angle of the plates above and below the ring should also help somewhat I would think against most top-tier rounds. Light vehicles like the Tam and HSTV-L bounce shots all the time even though they dont have the greatest armor values.

What you have to look at when people complain about the Abrams being lackluster is those are decently skilled players complaining, not the premium kids who leave after one death. I among several other US top tier players would like to see the SEP v3 as it could theoretically give skilled players a better chance in matches, just like the 2A7HU has done for Italy.
You can literally outrange every SPAA at top tier with US CAS, same goes for most nations with decent CAS
Yeah, if i spend 10 minutes climbing up to 20km so that my bombs can glide the distance, assuming that I can see the target/get a lock/the enemy doesn’t move at all. That is nothing like the KH38s, especially considering the range of the ADATS is half that of the Pantsir’s.
The problem I have with it is that it gets heavier with no real armor to speak of. Unlike the Leopards, it doesn’t have a spall liner or the best shell.
People usually state that it’s the Premium players that tank the winrate or KD of the Abrams, but if that’s true, why are other Nations, that also have top tier premiums such as Russia and Germany, doing just fine?
It does seem to be a fundamental issue with the Abrams. Out of all my top tier MBT, including the Merkava, which can’t stop 10.0 shells nearly anywhere, I’d still play it over the Abrams. It’s just not pleasant to get around with unlike its 10.7 counterpart.
