Is the us and other nations lacking a counter to the pantsir sm sv?

Do not trust the stat card, CAMM/-ER is incapable of exceeding 27G, and that is only in the split second jumps of G pull. Average G pull is 23.

Yes, did probably a few dozen runs against Pantsir SM SV to learn low altitude boom & zoom tactics that I saw getting popularity.
Not as good as the Rafale CAS player that smoked me, but I was trading with the Pantsir every run in the 2nd half.

Just for my knowledge why UAE would be a subtree to Germany?

It’s not about the UAE, people are using the chassis as an argument

Imo that’s a weak argument and should not dictate Pantsir addition to Germany, but everyone can have their own opinion.

genuinely a terrible pantsir player then

It wouldn’t be a subtree, it would be more of a vehicle like the Polish Leopard 2PL

The UAE Pantsir system is mounted on a MAN chassis, which is German

Well that is quite a far fetched request: Germany is far from being the most struggling nation in the surface to air. Make a squad with german player japan and Russia and you have the best lineup

It’s an option, simply because it also gives a NATO nation a really strong SPAA, it hopefully would also have a chance to equalize the imbalance we currently have in sim

MIM-104 Patriot would be gud for USA but only for some things as it has limits for close range so the USA could also get the AN/TWQ-1 Avenger or something insane and unhinged like THAADs for war thunder but patriot is problaby the closest because it his modeled in nuke thunder

Agh yes for sim that would add some balance

For France the only thing that could work would be the mica VL basically an elde 98 with mica em…

That ends up being an argument used on both.
“Ah, just a bad CAS/SPAA player.”
Not intending to upset you, I don’t want you upset.

When I was playing CAS from late 2022 - mid 2024 & only dying to SPAA twice, people claimed the SPAA players were bad.
The CAS that had a range of 14 - 20km vs the 10 - 13km of SPAA [16km after Pantsir’s missiles got fixed around September/October 2024].

I don’t like those claims because of that experience, being dismissed for 2 years straight by people that thought CAS wasn’t OP & delayed Gaijin taking the situation seriously.

I’m not dismissing your claim, but I am wanting you to come up with good reasons to support your perspective.

And as I said before, I much prefer the situation where my team stays on the ground & wins than spams CAS & loses due to spawn point degradation.
There is no negative to Pantsir SM SV being balanced [my perspective] or OP [your perspective].
Either my teams will not spawn CAS & win, or they’ll get wrecked by SPAA; a win win for me.
In-fact, my team won an Attica match today because the enemy spammed CAS.

Having 0 practical experience doesn’t stop some people from giving opinions on the strength of vehicles 😂

They never do a full turn in the ‘average’, missiles only take limit G’s at the end of the track, when they are close.
Missile such as the Aster 30 even have a ‘PIF-PAF’ maneuver, making it turn up to 70 G’s in the final approach, using not only aerodynamics, but as well using sideways gas trust to move directly the center of mass.

I don’t think this precise maneuver is implemented, but the fact that the missile won’t pull high G if the target is soo far is implemented.

Type 03 SAM vs constant maneuvering target at 10km

Here, the turn is light, around 5-10 G’s, with a spike at 17 G’s in the middle of the turn. Then, it comes back to 0-3G’s, and as you can see, a second before impact, it does a big correction using all it’s energy, at 20+G’s

So we can’t count the ‘average’ G pull, missiles such as the Type 81 C is comparable to the Stinger if we follow this averaging logic.

Missile trajectory, FB-10 vs SAM-1C vs FIM-92B

I do know how aster works.

What I mean by average, is what I got from multiple tests in game, where the missile was launched at multiple targets at multiple ranges pulling hard. The 23 is the average value missile pulled in my tests. Yes, that includes situations where the missile, if it pulled more, would have hit, but instead it just fell short.

There were others who tested it, and they got simmilar results.

We cannot base ourselves on win rate, since most toptier players don’t bring one, we need to take a look on the k/d ratio and win rate of the said SPAA, because the problem isn’t the anti air, when only 4 out of 16 players have one in the lineup, and the free one being of a lower BR, only USA (12.3, NASAMS), USSR (12.0, Pantsir-S1), and China (12.0, CS/SA 5) have a free anti-air that is competitive for toptier.

Other nations such as UK, Germany, Japan, Italy, France and Israel don’t really have one.

What we have :

What we can see:
If we put togheter the stats, (in decimals, 80% = 0.80) we take:
the [k/d], add [1 - death/spawn ], and don’t count he win rate :
We come on this:

Rank SAM system K/D Death/Spawn 1-D/S Score
1 Sky Sabre 1,48 0,783 0,217 1,697
2 SAMP/T 1,21 0,769 0,231 1,441
3 IRIS-T SLM 1,31 0,827 0,173 1,483
4 HQ11 1,17 0,745 0,255 1,425
5 Pantsir SM-SV 1,21 0,787 0,213 1,423
6 NASAMS 3 UK 1,01 0,816 0,184 1,194
7 NASAMS 3 US 0,97 0,826 0,174 1,144
8 SPYDER 0,90 0,722 0,278 1,178
9 Type 03 0,67 0,810 0,190 0,860

Luckily, the worst win rate, manily because the plar are the worst is for Russia, so following the logic, the worst anti-air players are SM-SV, so I will just start this debate:

Adding a competitive SAM to the SM-SV to another or multiple nations, wouldn’t it be worst than having only the worst players having the best it ?

Well if we take the flight time of a missile and take every second the measure, on a 20s lifetime before impact; the averge G of that travel was 15G, but on the last 2 seconds, it pulled 30 G’s, the averga will just move from 15 to 15.9, so it’s not a good measure to base outselves on.
It erases some part where it takes 0 G’s, and as well as some extremes turns at the end, both non-negligible.
The best thing would be the percentile, probably the 95th or something ( P95 gives how many time it is over 95% of the measures).

There are NATO vehicles that are contemporaries to the Panstir SV.
Off the top of my head it’s; M6 Linebacker or Stryker M-SHORAD (USA), Skyranger 30 (Germany, Italy through Hungary, France through Belgium, Sweden through Denmark) and SUPACAT Overwatch (Great Britain).
Japan and Israel both lack competitive options in this section, but Israel does have the HVSD/ADAMS which is a very capable gun-only SPAA.

none of these are remotely comparable to the SM-SV par having a gun for close in support (afaik TKB´s alone outrange all of these spaa)

BMPT destroyed RU teams bro, it gonna take at least more 3 months to go back

There is an obvious counter, but Gaijin wont add it
