Is the turm III pack worth it?

is the turm III pack worth it im a relatively new player and already have 2 tanks in the 7.7 to 8.3 br range for germany

It’s a very good tank, you just need to know how to not rely on armour.

The most issues I’ve seen with 8.0 - 8.3 GER is people having a hard time adapting going from tanks with amazing armor like the Tigers to faster ones with less armor, like the Leopards.

30mm to annihilate any light tank/IFV, most tanks from the side will die to the APDS. Then you also get fully stabilised DM13 on a 5s reload with very good gun depression. The only issues are its armour being paper thin (but you get mobility to trade for it) and the average turret drive. Personally think it should be 8.7. However if you already have 2 tanks in the BR range it’s value might not be worth it, being a rank 5.

Aside from being really good its a unique vehicle that doesnt have any parrallel alternatives in the german tree or any tree,

Theres not really anything else like it besides a few tanks that get 20mm coax that arent nearly as strong.

play it like a lower tier bmd4. Flank. Autocannon to the side. Use gun on dire headon situations

Is a must-have vehicle in my opinion if you don’t want to jump right on the lion’s den (also known as high tiers), decently mobile, faster than other vehicles in the tech tree, can research good vehicles, though it doesn’t have the best line-up available, if you like planes the MiG-15bis is one of the best, if you want helicopter support the SA 313B Alouette II is also another gem.

You’ll be very outperformed in damage by other vehicles due to the constant inconsistency of APDS and HEAT-FS rounds, armor by some and mobility by others, your biggest threat is the XM-800T, the 30 mm HSS 831L autocannon is effective against most targets but you must pay attention to the ammunition count, it had a change where the total amount was divided by 5 boxes, so it can run out of ammo pretty fast and as a reliable weapon you’ll use it alot to counter light armored targets with ease and leave the 105 mm L7A3 cannon for bigger ones.

As you don’t have armor to spare, you can go all in with full ammo, suggested 40 DM13 APDS rounds and 7 DM512 HESH rounds or if you want to try being less of a threat to yourself, a total of 20 ammo rounds being divided by 16 DM13 APDS rounds and 4 DM512 HESH rounds is also recommended, though you can also run out of ammo fast than expected, the 5.0-second reload time is one of the key points, -12.0° of gun depression makes it one of the best sniping vehicles in-game, maps like Pradesh, Sands of Sinai should give you oportunity to unlock full potential of the Turm III.

You need to decide what your ultimate goal is with the game. Do you want to play up to top tier? Do you want to have a few different lineups for specific BR ranges?

I have a number of premiums, some are at lower BRs and to be honest, I haven’t played them in years. I enjoyed them when I was fairly new to the game but now I prefer to play a range of BRs from 5.7 to 8.3.

Now, if I invest in a premium it’ll fit that those parameters as that’s where I spend the majority of my time.

I’m not suggesting to not buy the Turms III, but you will need to decide if you’ll get the full benefit of that vehicle at the higher BRs if that is your final goal.

A suggestion, might be to consider buying premium time if you intend to grind up to the highest tiers.
