yesterday I played it and felt like… good I guess? But it’s draggy and doesn’t have the acceleration of any other 6.0, it’s VERY slow and it has a weird thing that makes it extremely agile on the first three turns but becomes an utter brick even if you keep your energy and airspeed is still optimal. I got three hits on an f8f 1b and a 190 d9. I still prefer it over the hornet now because it can at least put pressure on people and actually use the climb rate to your advantage. The Hornet is good but it gets bodied by re2005’s all day, sure they’re as slow as spitfires but they dive like p51s.
precisely steel is more resistant to torsion but not to the sheer forces of a shell going mach 5 through it.
Is this about the Ki-83?
Sounds about right for the experience I had with it. You can pressure people and the climb rate is good but that aside you can’t actually do much. Also, the Ho-5s kinda suck right now and the 30s aren’t much better.
Universal for the 20mm’s, tracer for the 30mm’s. You need more patience since they’re not as fast however it is still competitive.
IIRC I run stealth on the 20s, more HE. The 30s got nerfed a while ago.
It’s a plane that needs to be played slowly in a game where matches only last for 25min. I don’t see much of a reason to fly it over a Ki84 or A7M.
I would disagree, the Ki-83s are fast, one of the best Twin Engine’s interceptors, not a fighter, an interceptor. Stealth Neato is skilled right there, however, could be careless about the 30mm Nerf, I typically learn quickly on adapting to the buffs and nerfs so I’m used to it at this point.
And there are no hordes of B-29s sitting at 10km to intercept. There is nothing to “intercept” but fighters who have little issue dodging your attacks, and attackers/bombers flying so low that anyone else can shoot them down without any trouble.
Again, you’re trading all the maneuverability found on the single engine fighters for a little speed. I don’t think that’s a good trade when the P-51H is faster and you’ll meet them quite often.
