I was looking forward to grinding the italian tech tree since it had the f16 and the grippen, two planes i would like to try, but i saw on YouTube ranking video where a guy ranked top tier jets and he put the italian grippen at the worst tier. It’s just the “Italy sucks” meme. That tier list is also outdated. I recommend finding some new content about top tier as of right now if you are considering Italy.

Italy as a nation is fine in game currently, but it’s literally only because they copypasted a shit ton of vehicles that don’t belong in the italian tree… to the italian tree… and now those distinctively non-italian vehicles are the ones people point to when they say “Italy is fine”.
Italy’s props as a whole are still massively overtiered, their korean era jets are still overtiered, their F-104s are still overtiered, etc.
To answer the OP, Yes I believe the “Italian” gripen and the swedish one are identical.

The C. 205 serie 3 is arguably the best 4.7 prop in game.
