It is suggested that the fighter that can mount the auxiliary fuel tank in the game can adjust the fuel quantity of the auxiliary fuel tank by itself, and add the setting option of “whether to abandon the auxiliary fuel tank automatically”, so that the auxiliary fuel tank will not be abandoned automatically after the fuel in the game runs out, which makes the game more realistic.

I tried to suggest this, a setting to toggle automatic fuel tank jettison, but it didn’t get accepted. I might try again at some point
1st idea : setting amount of fuel in Fuel tanks - close to no impact for the game today,… as what you can do is set the internal fuel of the aircraft accordingly to the fuel tank capability.
also dropping fuel tank is done in order to give a better handling (at least in many jet aircrafts)
2nd: the automatic jettison isunrealisatic, and i agree it should be in game at some time,… even if it might not be a priority.
