As the title suggests, is the missile on the CS/SA5 accurate? For those of you who do not know about the new FB-10 and FB-10A missiles, they perform a top down elimination at the moment:
(My apologies, I recorded on my television screen because my Xbox is acting up and refuses to screen record).
I am just curious on if this is accurate or not. To me, it seems like a waste to have a missile preform such action like a Spike-LR II or AGM-114B Hellfire missile. I would figure an IR missile would just simple fly to the plane and blow it up.
The other thing about the FB-10/A is that it tries to perform this top down action, no matter the distance. Even with the helicopter, it still refuses to just blow up in proximity. Rather it still tries to do a top down action from less than a kilometre away. Even against actual players, the missile refuses to blow up, and will actively go over and behind the aircraft if the aircraft is flying directly towards the SPAA. I can provide a video as proof later when my friend gets back on.
So my question here is simply this: is this accurate to how the FB-10 and FB-10A preforms in real life? To add on: is it worth having the FB-10 and FB-10A missile preform as such in the game at the moment with a terrible proximity fuse and glaring weakness?
