Don’t they all have the exact same controls
I really cant agree with this at all. A few aircraft I have with TWS:
JF-17
MiG-29
Su-27
Su-27SM
Mirage 4000
Mirage 2000C-S5
Alll of these aircraft have standard TWS and function much better than the F-15I, but no discernable difference from aircraft that have TWS+
I just checked and TWS+ is more widespread than I thought, so yeah dont really notice too much of a difference between them
What does TWS+ even do though
iirc, it changed the algorithm for the INS tracking.
“An improved TWS mode has been added. In this mode each time after a full scan pattern is completed, scanned targets are matched to already created tracks, which lowers the probability of track switching to another target, which would lead to missile retargeting through data link.”
There are definitely other aircraft with a bad radar, but the F15Es isnt as good as others, and nowhere near good enough for its role as a bvr truck. Ive seen pheonixes hold a better lock on the ARH warhead than the F15E hard locking a target
imo most of the F15Es issues arent even its radar, its the fact that its role is a big engine with good missiles, but every nation gets either the same or better missiles (im ngl AMRAAMS are possibly the worst ARH ing rn) with higher quantity on more maneuverable airframes with ever so barely worse engines which are made up for by the fact that the F-15E loses all of that speed in a slight turn, like it loses speed so badly it cant even notch anymore.
the 120C-5 has so much potential but they barely even bothered modeling it
i saw a video from the update saying its performance was buffed at high speeds, is it really this bad?
i heard the opposite, i heard that it loses speed significantly worse now, and the wr drops go to show it
so real, the Bs are better in some cases from the C-5 just having extra dead weight, thanks gaijin
just tested it and its speed bleed is terrible now, probably not the worst in the game or anything but very bad
do you have the F-106 or A-4? is it on that level?
not as bad as f106, and it seems a bit better than f18c but much worse than it was
the extra pull is nice but the energy loss seems excessive for how much it pulls even more so with how much thrust it should have
at 1km alt starting at ~1000kmh turning 180 degrees resulted in dropping to about ~680kmh
f18c ended around 650kmh but turned faster and had to neg G again
it actually loses similar or more speed than f106 at high speeds but significant less at <~750 khm IAS
tbf it is probably still an improvement because before it would not pull at all above mach 1.1 or so
I played a few games in the f15e yesterday. Got a 3.33k/d out of those games.
I didnt have much issues overall
why bother with AMRAAM when you can lase 20 AI target, swarm it with GBU-39 and rearm to get another 20?
Exhibit A)
(ignore the censor bar, I looked at what was written and lets just say someone was enthusiastic about squares and year 1989).
13.0 is painful right now, personally I think they should have moved the BR cap to a minimum of 14.7 for the Rafs etc, the F-15E/I to 14.3 and the F-15C/J(m)/Baz to 14.0.
Those things have no business fighting SARH carriers.
No it is TWS+
The issue is that targets aren’t refreshed when the radar beam passes them, but only a few seconds later when the scan pattern finishes
Yes they do because they update the target whenever the radar beam passes them, instead of it needing a few seconds to be updated
The AWG-9 definitely performs very poorly.
