11.3 and 11.7 is a “Click bait” for American right now.
They used to play the Abrams very passive to get enough point, get a planes and dumb GBU to other nation.
- But thanks to wallet warriors and they SepV2 draw now attention from Veteran since it’s just has better themal then Sep, lower their winrate to bottom of the charts.
Historically:
- Most of them take the “Battle of 73” to get attention but that battle happened between M1A1/A2 versus T-72M (which is the worst version of T-72M for export), they used 3BM7 and the crappy FCS which is terrible, plus the sky is dominant by A-10, Apache and other thing, most of the job done by the air force for the whole war. It’s like currently you took 11.3 USA lineup fought with Russia 9.3 (which is Click bait vs T-72A).
- Other then that, Abrams never face any large-scaled war or again an enemy with extreme AT weapon like Russian, right now, it’s just an obesity guy and V4 got canceled since M1E3 gonna be more suitable for them instead create an Obesity Abrams, the only thing Abrams done well is the blowout panel and it’s FCS.
Armor in game:
- Gaijin made the UFP immune to DM53 or even their own rounds M829A2 which is BS since it’s just need crappy 3BM42 to deal with it. The turret is immune to the best APFSDS round from Obj 292 and previously, DM 53 from L/55.
- The hull, i don’t think the hull’s buff will make any improvement since with Gaijin approach, even they buff it, that still can pen by DM53 and even 3BM60.
- Turret ring, some claim it has 200mm of steel but then look at Russian tank, their neck with narrower ring expose and 200mm of steel can be penned easily.
Ammo in game:
- Right now pass-through effect which is allow a rounds has better chance to deal with ERA and NERA still not implemented.
- But M829A2 dealling with T-90A and T-72B3 easily when that round can pen through the hull (like IRL but different way ingame)
- The programmable rounds is implemented and works well, that like the HE-VT on China which is other nation does not have.
Most people in top tier has experience to deal with Abrams which is shoot the neck, even they buff the whole hull, turret, the neck will alway be the weakspot.

Lol no,maybe later generations of the Abrams,but my M1A1 HC with its DU inserts in the turret didn’t block a DM53 at 800 metres
It’s not an hypothesis,the turret ring is not modeled by volumetric,and it’s thickness is considered like it is hollow inside. With volumetric applied,at least it will not get killed by low-calibre APFSDS

I stopped reading when you started fabricating stories about the battle of 73 Easting. Lost all credibility in regards to this conversation.
It was a massive sandstorm. Aircraft usage was extremely limited. Engagements in surrounding areas had more support such as 74 Easting to The Battle of Norfolk.
Again though, 73 Easting was limited in air support to AH-64s for only a limited period. They did not play a significant role in this operation. The action was almost exclusively armor.
It’s not to say that American forces were challenged by anything present; however, we don’t make up how things went to justify our rationality. It just destroys your credibility.

Meh, if the air force still not there, the comparison between a crappy version of T-72 with the most modern Abrams still not a valid point, i saw too many guy bring that fight as a comparison between “every T-72” vs Abrams without concern any aspect of it. It’s literally a one side fight. That’s my main point.

Yes and no,i’m not gonna talk about the “best multirole” simply because I don’t have it,but i have the Abrams and i can say that it needs more polishing from Gaijin
Granted,there are other NATO tanks that needs a buff rework (Challengers,Leclercs and Arietes mainly).
The Abrams needs to have its turret ring reworked to be under the volumetric armor,the most recent variants need the M829A3 (and,contrary to Gaijin’s beliefs,it is a big upgrade over the A2),the ARAT 2 must be reworked (to both block tandem warheads and to have an higher KE defence) and i hope that the M1A2 SEPV3 will have the DU hull (even tho it will not be that useful,but still),and let’s not forget about the Spall liner/flak vest debate.
The reload buff was a nice welcome,the tank overall is good but it can’t frontally face any MBTs without suffering a big hit, something other MBTs can accomplish quite well

Sure,you’re higher than a skyscraper,easy to kill and not the fastest
But it has an amazing gun,solid ammo choice, amazing handling,a very good reload speed for their BR,a commander sight that is wonderful for a sniping role.
Plus the RISE P adds smoke grenades and ERA which is very good at 8.3 and the TTS is nasty with M774,Thermals,ERA,ESS and LRF at 9.0

The challenger literally didnt recieve a buff are you living under a rock? The only thing that was sort of buffed was the TES receiving an extra 100mm of CE protection on the side NERA which doesnt mean much becuase every single ATGM you see will still go clean through and the TES is still the worst variant ingame besides giving the ariete spall liners wont change much it will still get oneshot just like the chally since it wont get a full spall liner package like the T-90M or leopards
If you dont understand how absolutely broken having a better reload than the enemy is at toptier i dont know what to say its one of the reasons why the chally is so bad the reload drops to around 8-10s after you go through the 3 round ready rack making it impossible to deal with multiple enemies or even a single enemy if you mess up a shot meanwhile the abrams can outreload everything bar the japs if you mess up a shot in an abrams against say a T-72B3 and he does the same you will reload 2.1s faster its a guaranteed free kill
