Is the 83° forced ricochet angle a special attribute of American tanks?

It looks as if only the front armor of the M1 has that kind of ricochet capability


Isn’t it because the VT-4A1 has ERA there? I mean the round isn’t going to ricochet if it’s getting blown up first.

Objectively speaking, the ERA will increase the ricochet rate, because the attitude of the armor-piercing body will be seriously damaged

That wouldn’t count as a ricochet though, that would just mean the round is destroyed

You’re viewing lower on the Abrams than the VT

Hard coded to bounce most likely. I’ve seen way more oblique angles be penned but the abrams ufp seems to be an exception even to the best placed shots
