Is SU-39's BR justified (11.3) over SU-25BM (11.0)?

This post is for air battle not CAS!!!

Recently, I have got some spare SL and used this spare SL to expert a crew slot to this plane.

I played few rounds, running two gun pods and radar.

To my surprise, the plane was okay to play. The plane itself isn’t too good, but the equipment on it make it exotic and unconventional.

The device that deflects IR locks, the amount of missiles, the fast speed (for subsonic attacker), the RWR, CMs etc.

Again, it is a CAS plane at heart and shouldn’t be a serious contender in air battles.

But I have been wandering. Is it that good, that it justifies a .3 jump in BR.

As far as I know, the Su-25BM shares exact same kit with the Su-39, with the exception of slightly less thrust in their engines.

It just seems that Su-25BM being 11.0 means it won’t face Gen4 fighters (F-18, F-16) which can run circles around it. Instead the BM will play with missile bus like F-4S and Mirage F1 (a bus).

“Live by the sword, die by the sword”

Different RWR at least.
Vikhr can be used as AA missile

BM doesnt get Kopyo and Vikhrs, and doesnt have the tail IRCM iirc.

I meant as in air battles

Sorry I meant as in air battles. Vikhrs aren’t very good against supersonic jets are they

There are great differences from the Su-39 to the Su-25BM, @TheMightySardine pointed them correctly. Su-39 is in far better platform, relatively faster with more modern internal equipment when compared to an Su-25, the modern radar warning recieve being one of the key points.

While these missiles can be used as air-to-air missiles, it’s not reliable, not the main reason for this battle rating difference, the platform and other suspended weapons are.
