TSR is on the dev server
its hard to find real info on what exactly TSR is but it seams to combine upscaling(but can also use native res for better image quality) and looks very simular to TAA(very clear still image) but does have less ghosting/blurry issues in motion as TAA
and its way less picky about gpu hardware all it needs is Directx 11(or better) or vulkan
I’m not excited about WT potentially becoming too much for my “budget” PC. I’m too old and uninterested to keep buying the latest and greatest hardware anymore, especially GPUs. I have a budget GeForce 1660 because I don’t AAA game much anymore and War Thunder still looks and runs beautiful. The install for War Thunder, also, is already large enough. I don’t need it taking up even more space and I don’t need it to exceed my GPU capabilities.
I don’t know why they are doing this. To appease like maybe 5 people? Who cares about power gaming. It looks good enough.
If you have a GTX 1660 you should really try tsr given it could improve performance in the balanced or performance modes

But War Thunder really does have terrible graphics, though this mostly applies to the vehicle models. Also, the cockpits of many aircraft look like they were taken straight out of the old IL-2 Sturmovik, and I don’t believe there’s any hope for their improvement.
They actually improved the stucka cockpit this Update

Issue is, I have a laptop only, so running WT on lowest image quality is already difficult. This is the same as the issue with videos, we can make insane 8K 12K videos, but most audience, in this case players won’t be able to benefit.

Even though I’m a RTX 4090 player, I believe it’s good to keep the game playable for people with “budget” setups (and most WT players have “budget” setups).
Graphics are already good enough for a “simulator” of this type, and it’s also definitely not what we need as many base mechanics are lacking!
Why it’s not gonna be as atractive in advertisements.
