Is Multi-pathing nerfed again?

I’ve been hit by missiles while flying below 40 meters a lot in the past week or so and I’ve been hit by missiles that have less than 5kg TNT while I used to take no damage from Fakour-90 missile that has got around 50kg TNT while flying around 50 or so meters and the missile exploded a few meters away from me in the past.
What has happened? Why do these missiles with smaller warheads deal way more damage despite flying way below the multi-path altitude recently?
I don’t recall any instance of being hit by a radar missile while multi-pathing in the past but suddenly now missiles with warheads smaller than artillery shells hit me while practically flying so low some trees appear taller than I am.

As far as I know, shooting missiles close to vertical increases the chances of being hit.

By launching missiles from above at targets below, you can mitigate the effects of multipath.

Basically the real target and the multipath ghost end up being lined up from the missile/radar perspective, so it ends up hitting you. It’s a fairly reliable kill if you have altitude. Even somewhat shallow angles will get close enough to proxy fuse. Higher angles only make the missile more likely to get a better hit.

Yeah, you can do this without much effort with the aim-120-c5 since it lofts quite aggressively, i’ve noticed that it smites people who are multipathing even when I wasn’t trying to launch it upwards.

OP’s probably noticing it since it was added somewhat recently
