Is M1147 even worth it?

Nothing to say more. It has no proxy fuse like M830A1 and performs worse than M908 (i think). Am i missing something?

It’s purpose is not really related to vehicle warfare. It’s a smart fuzed HE round meant for taking out bunkers or other fortified fighting positions, open infantry, and has airburst to get infantry that’s hiding behind walls or in trenches.

Situational, but there are times a timed fuse is better than a proxy fuse, shooting at helis that are behind trees that would trigger a proxy for example. Or shooting it under a tank to blast through the bottom of its hull.

True, but even if that heli moves you have the same chance of the fuze not working, so might as well just sling a dart at it. We need M1028 Canister for the fun of shooting a large shotgun at things.

That’s just one example, shooting at hull down tanks is another, there are times when a proxy fuse will detonate off the ground when the timed fuse will donate over (or under) the target, it’s very situational and it seems like Gaijin has made the proxy fuses far less likely to detonate from “clutter” recently too. I would put it in the take one or 2 just in case category, it’s not like the Abrams suffers from limited ammo storage.

Use the PF round on the PzH2000(should be the same on all the 155 PF rounds). It still fuses on plenty of clutter. So much so you’re just better off not using the PF round at all unless on a desert map.

I usually set to impact except in some very specific circumstances, I’ve just noticed in test drive that some VTs seem to detonate off the ground less. That could just be a test drive bug though.

I’ll have to start remembering to set the fuse myself. I tend to forget, which is why I just don’t bring them in the first place.

Yeah, having someone dead to rites and the round proxies early because you set the wrong fuse mode is the suck!

More so having a strip of barbed wire thats sticking up trigger it.
