Iraqi actually had its own factory where it was making T-72’s, they had east germans helping them as well, and there were reports some tanks had a thermal device equipped.
That is correct a lot of the 72s were made in Iraq, about thermals never heard or seen them on Iraqi 72s but it wont surprise me if they had some 72s with thermals. However, no match for m1a1s with A1 shells about 600mm of penetration perhaps slightly more sabot rounds.

The abrams is trash and when your team consists of trash tanks vrs far far better vehicles it is almost impossible to win outside of perfect play and or 4 man squad. The whole point here is to bring the abrams and other top tier tanks in line or closer in performance to the leopards to make the game more fun and more balanced. Why you are on this crusade to keep trash tanks trash literally makes no sense to me until I realized that you literally have only played 11.0 america, and really have no idea how bad things really are.

What exactly does my “stats” have to do with referencing bugs? I see you’ve NEVER played with anything higher than the (10.3) M1 in US ground. So you know nothing about how bad the top tier US ground is.
When Gaijin actually fixes the Abrams, HSTV-L and top tier SPAA, then and only then you can reference my player stats as the problem. You wouldn’t have posts like these to begin with it Gaijin made fixing these tanks priority.

Which is why I am not making any effort towards grinding the Strv 122’s and Leopard 2A7’s over the past 9 months.

I merely explained how it’s a part of the game I don’t enjoy. I know full well that meta-chasers fully make use of CAS and how it’s the simplest way to carrying matches.
I also explained how my winrates would be the same as yours if I actually played CAS/squadded up.
I don’t blame the game for my playstyle not being optimal, however, to claim that I don’t contribute with virtually all of my most played vehicles having positive winrates makes you come off as rather silly.

I’ve said many times that the SEP v2 should’ve instead been the SEP v3.
I’ve got numerous bug reports on the US high tier stuff, including M1 Abrams armour bug reports.
I just point out the bad takes when people claim the M1A2 SEP is worse than any other MBT, and for some reason you seem to take that as me saying the M1A2 SEP is 100% fine and equal to a Leo.
Not exactly proving me wrong on my previous estimation of your character here.
Given that you’re not interested in any serious discussion and I don’t see this going anywhere productive, I’ll just block you.

The sepv2 would have been fine with the APS, removable shot traps and tusk kit. I think most of us would have been happy with it.
We didn’t need Sepv3, but this next one I would expect v3… and I expect it’ll be just as underwhelming.

But IMHO that still wouldn’t make it on-par with a Strv 122 or Leopard 2A7V.
You essentially have a M1A2 SEP with the weight of a SEP v3 but without the armour improvements of the SEP v3.
Keep in mind that Trophy adds 5000 pounds of weight to the system.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t recall Trophy providing adequate protection against APFSDS to make up for this inferior base armour.
SEP v3 at minimum weighs 66.8 tons already, so it’s bound to be the slowest of the M1’s.
We know for certain that both turret and hull armour was substantially upgraded. I personally don’t believe it will make a major difference but it should still be better than what the SEP v2 currently is.
Aside from the SEP v3 we’d have to start looking at CATTB and Thumper.
How the actual F are you tanking 11 hits in an M1 and this is coming from someone who only plays US
No its hull armor is bad (due to it being modeled incorrectly) its turret armor fares much better though, but any hit to the hull will cripple you unless it bounces (rare)

Do they really do anything at all in terms of extra protection? I only played the money Leopard 2A4 and thinking about spading the tech tree version 2A4 and it has that bulldozer, wouldn’t mind the HEATFS torture if offers extra protection lol

The addition of the SEPv3 should also hopefully draw some of the multi nation players back to the US, who are usually better than nation mains. So that US teams will have less painful teammates.
But for now it seems like Gaijin is content with throwing a billion cas/strike aircraft at the problem hoping that the 84774874th one will finally fix top tier US winrates.

I never said it would be as good, it wouldn’t. It would at least have been an upgrade over what we got which was a legitimate downgrade from the SEP.
It should be able to interact with projectiles, however it also would deal with missiles. So it’s an upgrade in one way or another.
However, I think SEPV3 would be a HUGE difference. From the armor enhancement it should be a huge upgrade. So I completely disagree, and what I’ve read about would seem to show it would be extremely robust.

It would be good, but the 2A7s and 122s would still beat it slightly.
No matter how much armor you add to the LFP and cheeks, the turret ring will still be easily farmed (at this point I doubt that they will ever make that volumetric).
However it will still seriously close the gap with the 2A7s/122s and seeing as the SEPv3 is my favourite Abrams production variant irl, I still want it in game asap.
