Is it normal that the M113 TOW plays really badly?

I don’t know why their K/D is so low, or whether anyone has any tips, or if its BR is actually a problem.

The core issue of those vehicles is their rather pissy mobility ( if I remember correctly, i last played them a while ago) and the core gameplay generally not favoring big-ish missile-only vehicles. TOWs are also fine ( depending on the server) but camping at mid to long range with them is locking you out of combat on smaller maps.
So no, it’s not a BR issue but how those vehicles are tailored to their role that’s making them feel underwhelming.

Similar to tanks like the Conqueror - unless you have a hill to peak over from a distance, they kinda suck.

idk why people say tows and hellfires are bad they work great for me (as long as they hit the tank and not the tracks or breech but thats rare if you know how to aim them)

To start, they are situational vehicles. You need hull down to be functional and 1/2 the maps provided limited areas to use them in. 2nd, your %$#% .50 MG gets in the way of the atgm. GIVE US THE ABILITY TO REMOVE IT. its largely useless and it blocks half your weapon traverse angle.

But yeah, its overall a bad vehicle. Sweden gets an 800 pen 4.4kg atgm at the same br on a vehicle without a .50 blocking its vision.

I just found out that the .50 cal machine gun really does block the gun’s elevation, but a few times I ran into a German automatic rocket launcher vehicle. I couldn’t fire at it at close range right away, so I used the machine gun to take it out.
