It’s only those who want to nitpick for the sake of it that are literally trying their darndest…
Then we need SPAM section z and z little icon if it is pressed say 6 times by individuals it get will get moved
That’ll just be abused more the same as the flagging.
Then you need a IGNORE button, not so much a block person so you never seee them again but you can remove a topic from your view
Nope… That doesn’t send the message to those who are posting stupid nonsense…
Your never be happy lol
What is nonsense may be another persons gold
You are only replying to draw it out…
I’m directly calling for people to not post stupid non-thought-out crap for the absolute sake of it, hoping that they cause as much outrage as they can to make a problem about the game feature that they can’t handle, over and over because they refuse to actually do anything other than getting nailed.
That’s how simple it is… Flagging and your spam folder nonsense won’t work as it doesn’t rectify the issue, it just hides it.
The ignore also doesn’t attend to it, as this is more a call to moderation being needed.
And that leads to why the suggestions are vetted, because otherwise there would be that junk everywhere in that section, with vague and obtuse suggestions, with a mere poll of ‘Do you agree with me?’ and any resistance would be attacked and abused rather than actualy engaged or taken on board.
This wasn’t about the suggestions at all, but the posts all over the forum here…
Honestly?
ULQ was having a valid point. Yes, he may draw the data from the wrong source. But as I tried to explain at some point, it matters significantly to win rates. No point arguing against a valid idea just because reasons. His point about “kills per death” is statistically viable. Sure, there are some exceptions, but that goes with most rules.
So what does it mean? It means that people’s judgement may be seen in light of their actions. (or vice versa). If I get a complaint thread (mentioned above) “I am always on the losing team, the game is biased against me”, then this variable matters immensely:
If such a “the game makes me lose constantly” person puts up a thread, how will you counter him unless you pull his 0:3 k:d? Because that is where his problem is.
A valid point for elsewhere, but the point wasn’t relating to what was actually being talked about… That was the issue.
Your not going to get what you want. You have named 2 individuals, which my harm them, whi h does go against the terms of the fairy god mother
You’re not making sense in all honesty.
I could easily link to thier crappy threads if you so need to see them…
I was just about to say the same to him.
I have now put my toys away
After reading this really “interesting” exchanges i would like to remind you that freedom of speech is actually very limited irl - and in this forum by the wt rules.
So the same limited right of expression is valid for all participants - so even if you insist to talk about apples - you have to accept that some guys will talk about oranges - they have the same rights as you to express their opinions.
And about this K/D ratio: Just kidding, idc…
I’m not arguing in bad faith. The point was made by You about KDR and its importance:
And I have explained why people tend to look at the KDR of people in order to grasp what kind of player someone is and what to expect from him.
Of coruse I meant the player statistics from game as they are the most reliable. I have brought up thunderskill as I don’t know any more sites which gives You the info about time of life in battle (I brought it up honestly only because some just refuse to understand why KDR matters).
I don’t know how the calculate it tbh that is why I only look at them with cautious, but then ye, You are right to point it out to me that this site is not reliable.
Just because You don’t agree with someone, doesn’t mean that they should be silenced. Get off Your high horse.
Of course.
I mostly look at someones stats in a moment when I have doubt about something as my personal experience differs. I don’t call out that someone is bad and his opinion doesn’t matter but from stats we can see where the problem lies and what kind of advice should be given.
This topic name:
“Is it about time to start merging all of these whinge and moan threads, and finally make a stance on them?”
Can be applied to everything really. That is why I was looking at it with a lot of interest and watching what people would reply on it as defined ‘whining’ changes based on what kind of player is talking. I agree that flagging on new forum doesn’t work and should be changed but:
This way of thinking will only bring more problems than people think, as many really good players could talk about problems of normal players as ‘just skill issue problems, nothing needs to be changed’ and we would get nowhere. But You need a wider perspective to see that.
Talk about stats is not what should be a driving factor of a discussion but it is important to understand where the problem is coming from and how to help/direct the player. If someone doesn’t want to accept that most of his problems come from him just being bad in game, then there is no way to help him. I personally always try to see the problem in myself first. If I think that something is ‘unbalanced’ or just better, I try it and see what I can do about it.
Compaining is, even if its not a form you like, feedback. And if the forum isnt for feedback, then what is it even here for?
But if you’re being engaged with, throwing out nonsense and abuse because it’s not the same as yours isn’t what the forum is for…
Because this is what comes to be.
Just check the anti-CAS threads… When you say simple things in there they get all upset, and make out you are a CAS user because of the fact you don’t support their want… It’s that simplistic write-off of the opposition which is the actual problem.
Had someone throw out ‘CASvocate’ last week which was hilarious.
The actual ‘complaining’ is just making those who are easily swayed to being victims, to being victims more, just for the sake of it.
It’s almost like there’s a wet paper bag that someone is having trouble with, and there’s more jumping in the wet paper bag, to complain that the wet paper bag is too hard to fight out of.
This in no way defeats the point I made. Just because you dont like the way the feedback is being given, doesnt make it invalid feedback.
In your own words, you just “want” people to stop complaining about something that people have valid complaints about.
I agree. You are making a clear point in a social tone.
So much THIS!
