Been gone from the game for a bit but I was curious if the IRIS T is still considered the best SPAA? Its my favorite way to play is first spawn as anti air and slap down anything in the sky. (usually just an ungodly amount of missiles flying towards my team)
But now it seems theres something about radiation missiles and such I now have to consider as well.
Any input?
Pantsir and Pantsir SM are the best
Its not. Rwr ruins your missile stealth. If pilot sees “IRS” they know that they should go defensive because missile is coming for them already. And dodging it is same as dodging other irccm missiles. It doesnt have actual iir implemented for now.
Also it cant kill any jammer heli. Even datalink does nothing.
And you are inferior to radar missile slingers and pantsir in terms of missile interception. Ir missiles are worse at this job that saclos or arh.
It was only briefly.
But the IRIS-Ts are too easy to flare and cant be used against anything with LDIRCM (basically any top tier heli)
The best of the ARH’s is the Buk due to the large warhead, but they aren’t great either way though due to Multipathing and helis having 0 radar signature.
Which leaves the SACLOS SAMs which are the Pantsir S1 and SM-SV which are easily the best SPAAs in-game.
