You only said that it will take time to do all this things, which doesn’t change anything really while making things worse for tankers.

That is an opinion and has not been tested thus you have no evidence to back it up

There were already events which allowed for planes to be spawned (without bombs/rockets) from the beginning (WWM) and it played out as I have said it would.

Idk if its similar to what GRB is right now. All that has to be done to test it, is to change SP costs on the dev server

It could be done in form of event as gaijin likes to test it.

Don’t need to be on DEV as it won’t have as much players on it as live server.

Its upto them, ive said my thoughts on it, i do not wish to keep repeating myself. Upto everyone else to love it or hate it and do what they will with it

1 thing i have not mentioned is ammo count, planes carry limited ammo, some more than others

The Chronicles events many years ago had a similar format to what you suggest and there were no major issues to speak of.

Aircraft fought aircraft, GFs fought GFs and a few of the GFs went after aircraft and vice versa.

It was just another episode of WT…some people insist on dramatizing things for their own spin, but there’s nothing to it.

When i first seen aircraft dog fighting in the air above me in GRB, i thought wow this looks pretty real

And that is just one of many reasons why in the list of suggested reforms I have for how CAS in general is implemented in the mode why so many of said reforms pertain to making the counters stronger, easier to use, and always available. To convince people to move their AA outside the spawn zone.

To convince average joes to move beyond spawn, give all AAs back their full AP/HVAP/APDS/APFSDS belt options for those that lack such, and remove artificially-capped tiny shell count limits on high tier ones. IDGAF if an Otomatic runs around as an Ersatz TD with full darts - in the end its a bigger, taller, slower IFV with no ATGMs. IDGAF if people use German AAs as TDs mainly again. If someone using it as a TD means they move into the main map and are thus in prime position to help kill planes when they show up, then by ALL means.

Planes benefit more from RB’s mouse controls and 3rd person camera than tanks do - due to the unequal benefit I see cause to add short-range lead assists to all non-radar AAs, no more than 1.5km range aced crew. That would teach those same average joes where and when to shoot. I’d even go so far as to give all the artillery-size HE-VT rounds the same lead assist, and make all HE-TF rounds act like HE-VT with the same lead assist.

Finally, for some AAs I would give them their missing shell options. 40mm Bofors cannons are missing HE-VT and APDS (L/60 & L/70 variations). German 37mm FlaK43 & 44 are missing APCR belts.

Also as many others have mentioned - increasing rewards for shooting down planes in SPAA & SAMs.

And if all these changes cause quite a few AAs to move up in BR and create gaps, well then there is room for snail to do what they do best - add more vehicles to fill said gaps.

My point is that “the newbie AA problem” is quite solvable.

This game has solutions to all of its problems in this area already, it only needs to tie them together.

Describing in detail how to make SPAAGs across the board stronger, easier to use, and more able to defend themselves.

Making them intentionally so good that average joes now struggle to find reasons not to use them.

The issue is that the situation for average joe driving a tank won’t change

But it will give that average joe all the tools to help himself.

Then if he chooses to use a tank when the sky is full of buzzers, its his own fault if he dies to one of those buzzers. He can’t then go blaming the game for something which is clearly his own mistake. Which means his own mistake cannot lead to more boneheaded weapon nerfs.

Right now the situation tries to force someone to use a counter that is woefully inadequate at its job unless the pilot is dumb (which the pilots often are). Hence I propose making that counter go from inadequate to intentionally very strong/borderline overpowered.

You can’t seamlessly switch units on the fly, no. If you want a game like that, you picked the wrong game.

Use HE that is all you need to use, is HE. Every single vehicle has a HE belt of some sort. Every shell you describe is offensive rounds. It became less Tank Destroying and more Anti Airing.

The issue isn’t killing planes when your rounds hit.

It’s hitting the planes when the plane isn’t 100% playing into your hands by flying right at you.

It’s being expected to move outside the spawn zone, yet being almost totally defenseless vs nearly any tank you encounter, even a lot of “light” tanks.

If even I struggle despite nearly nine years experience playing the game, I can easily imagine how hopeless the average player with maybe 6 months experience must feel trying to use SPAA.

That is what my proposed changes are meant to remedy. Making it suddenly quite easy to hit planes with minimal practice whether the pilots are dumb or not, and undoing years of boneheaded nerfs to their anti-tank capabilities, because at least 8/10 times you’ll need to kill a tank or two in order to reach a spot where you can be useful surprising aircraft.

This part is completely contradictory. If your shells aren’t hitting then you have failed your one job.

This part is trying to use your own experience to win an argument without considering that not everyone learns as slowly or fast as you or I. Another thing, don’t over-push?, ever considered that? perhaps don’t start diving in extremely open exposed positions, and back up into more closed positions where planes will struggle to effectively bomb you leading to them not risking it as often.

As I stated what you said is completely subjective, irrelevant to the topic, and makes no sense. Not one thing you have said is a Remedy, you just want people to have AP rounds so you can do more Tank Destroying and get kills which is clearly all you care for.
