So I’ve been playing Germany again for the first time in a while, and I have the tree researched up to 7.7 but decided to play 5.3-5.7 and after about just under a hundred matches or so over the last week and a half I don’t think I have gotten a single down tier, at all. Every match has been a up tier and while my lineup still does fairly well and it’s not an unplayable experience, it seems really unusual to be getting this many up tiers.
For contrast when I play at 7.7 or even 8.7 I get a downtier maybe once every five or so matches. So is the 5.3/5.7 BR range just constantly getting blackholed into 6.7 or am I suffering a week long case of poor luck with the match maker? I ask because it’s been probably six months or so since I last touched the 5.3/5.7 BR range in any tree.
Fair enough I suppose. It’s a shame because I really enjoy the early Panthers and Tiger 1s, the Tiger-P variant has been an interesting tank to mess around in as well. It’d be nice to be able to at least get same tier (if that’s even a thing…?) and a downtier once in a while within that BR range.
Well u can try to play tiger 1 in uptier its really fun i killed once T-34 and T-26e5 with it and Even tiger Nr(1-50) is 6.7 so dont think about oh no its uptier think about more oh boy how hard gonna be because in downtier with tiger feels like coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb
6.7 has its own problems so i preffer to play 5.7 and get 6.7 uptier other than playing 6.7 and playing against 7.7 like Is4-m Is3 ans T32e1 T32 any france tanks so i would preffer to play 5.7
5.7 is a blackhole to 6.7 as it’s one of the most popular BR. And I also agree, playing 6.7 against some 7.7 is not great either, I just finished research the Italian 8.0 lineup, boi playing Pershing against russian heavies, British stabs or French autloaders is not for the faint of heart
For some reason I have the complete opposite experience regarding 5.7 and 5.3. Almost every other match if not every match I play in my Tiger I lineup is a downtier, but when I switch to the KT at 6.7 I never seemed to have had a single downtier and everyone kept feeding me HEAT shells.
Challenges are good every now and then, but constant uptiers are just frustrating and stupid. You never really get to experience what playing a Tiger 1 against it’s “peers” is like.
Having battles where you are constantly worried about getting one-tapped by every enemy is just exhausting.
Yes, same story for me. 5.0-6.7 is probably 85% full up tier.
I actually get the most full down in 7.7, but you get a fair amount of partial in 7.0…So your tiger2 will run 140sp rather than the 160sp for full. 7.0 will open up the Ho229 and the Me262. But in the end, unless you are playing CAS… 6.0-7.0 is kind of a uphill battle.
6.7 is playable, but you have to jump into your lekPZ scout or JPZ fireballer and then CAS every match until you get a downtier. The Arado234, Me262 50mm, and the TA152 are all pretty decent in that range.
From 5.0 to 5.7 I think 5.0 is easily the best range for me. Again, I’ll just ride around in PUMA! and jump into CAS until I get my full down. The me410, and FW190F are both fun in that range, but not great.
5.3 Gets you the Panther D which is decent, but you’ll never get a down tier… haha. You do get more CAS junk tho… ju188A2 is reasonable at that range.
Fascinating, glad it isn’t just me having the weird…issue(?) if you can even call it that. I genuinely don’t mind getting uptiered, it just seemed unusual to me to be getting that many uptiers. I did finally get a partial downtier today after probably somewhere in the range of 115 matches the last week and a half.
If you don’t have the right vehicles, 4.7-7.7 can be the most painful area in the entire game (even moreso than top tier itself) and it’s not even close. The matchmaking black holes in that BR zone is something worth talking about lol.
Yeah, I tend to find 5.7 to be the most painful regardless of the trees I grind, having grinded SOV, US, FR, UK and now GER trees all to 8.x. I do tend to enjoy 7.7 the most, in particular with the UK lineup of mediums and AC’s. US and FR is also pretty good at that BR, in my experience anyway. 6.X is just hell for everyone involved as you either get downtiered and stomp or uptiered and stomped on. You can do well in a uptier from 6.7 to 7.x but it’s not as easy as other uptiers.
