Bait used to be believable.
This thread is about RB btw. A mode you don’t play at all.

New shells wouldn’t help the IS-4M at all. Waiting 22s just for your APDS to shatter would be worse than what we have now. Like all 122mm armed tanks the IS-4M needs a massive reload buff to survive the insane uptiers without being op in a downtier. Currently it’s a worse vehicle than the T32E1, M103, IS-6 or Conqueror which also are in a rough spot at the moment and need a reload buff.
the problem is hyper compression you have a uptier where you face 8.7-8.0 MBT with APDSFS/STAB and down tier where you face a ww2 T26E5 which cant pen you frontally its very awesome match making
what they need to do is decompression but they would loose money so they would never do that cause if the game was balanced no one would need premiums
Those 7.7s don’t just get bullied in uptiers they face 400+mm HEAT and howitzers in full downtiers too. Even the T26E5 with its weak cannon can deal with an IS-4M or stall it for long enough until anything with a good cannon or HEAT arrives.
The 7.7 still need to aim for weakspots on heavy tanks a full BR lower which is a thing almost exclusive to them. Look at how much a Tiger 2, T26E5 or T34 can bully a Jumbo, Tiger 1 or IS-1. Take a guess what the T14, Churchill Mk7 or KV-1 are able to do to a Jumbo, Tiger 1 or IS-1. These slow reloading 7.7s are the only heavies in the game that struggle even when they don’t face any enemies of a higher BR and if they do they’re totally helpless. It’s not just the gameplay at higher BRs because the IS-7, Object 279 and T58 are all extremely broken at their BR and allowed to bully the lobby in downtiers but the 7.7s are not.
Long reload tanks simply aren’t meta and no amount of armor can save them. The amount of HEAT cars and howitzer slop will only increase as time goes on so unless they get a their reload time cut down a lot they will stay obsolete.
this is like saying a 75mm jumbo can deal with tiger 2 since the T26E5 is basically the 6.7 equivalent
can it technically pen the IS4M ? yeah technically doesnt make it fair
or his teamate shows up and barrels you or just kills you or tracks you
It’s not. The T26E5 has no trouble bouncing the 122mm while the Jumbo can’t tank the long 88. The T26E5 also shoots almost 3x as fast as the IS-4M, the Jumbo only shoots 1,5x faster than the Tiger 2.
Of course it’s not fair and it shouldn’t be. If it was fair there wouldn’t be a 1.0BR gap between the two vehicles.
You either didn’t read my comment at all or you missed the point completely.
sherman 75mm can shoot 3 times as fast as the TIGER 2 does that make it fair no it doesnt
and the IS4M has many spots it can shoot to pen the T26 lower plate machine gun port turret roof some parts of the manlet
you didnt read mine the entire game is not fair its designed that way so you buy premium vehicles and account to make the grind easier its literally engineered for you to suffer
What are you talkin about
Yes obviously. The IS-4M still has to aim for weakspots. The 6.7 tanks when facing 5.7 do not.
I know but that’s still not the point. You’re moving the goalpost.
your stating fallacy’s
Yes because you commited a logical fallacy
you are trying to cure a symptom of a disease instead of the disease
The disease is their source of income which will never be fixed. You have to look for solutions that actually have a chance of making it
and do what exactly artficially buff things ? with no historical basis
Reload speed is a balancing tool rather than a value based on historical accuracy. The devs and moderators have stated this multiple times.
yes where they might shave off a 1-2 seconds not a enough to matter when your reload is 25-23 seconds long
Rather than pure numbers consider the percentages. The Char 25t got 40% of it’s reload time cut, the T58 got some 40% removed, the T-80B was lowered by 15% and the T29 got 15% added. Many more examples of course but those are some recent ones.
Lowering the 122 reload by 30% would be massive and help the tanks a lot.
It wouldn’t even be the first time they did it by that much.
