yeah i read that they reverted it. just dont play top tier germany a lot lately so idk…is it better now? i mean stats wise i think its still the best top tier spaa, but didnt really check how much that changed with their nerf. i meant that more in a general sense, it felt like ur getting yourself in a bet that is already lost.
not as broken as the vehicle that is shown on the poster as something like the main attraction of the patch or whatever…
Trust me, it is a lot better now (like it used to be on release). The nerf made it borderline impossible to hit planes that were not flying in a straight line.
The good news is that the latest update log has changed irist back to 10km.
Oh no so CAS players need to rely on more than 1 braincell to be effective again. CAS is truly suffering with all the additions in the last update.

Do you need more? I’m sure someone as smart and incredibly talented in war thunder as you can understand why reversing a completely ahistorical nerf is kinda justified in an update where CAS got buffed like crazy throughout the entire game.

You don’t think that SPAA deserves a buff in an update with LDIRCM for almost all tech trees, FnF Eurofighters, Gripens with 16 spikes and debrickified KH38MTs slingers?

Oh it’s one of those again. I’m glad we can finally play IRIS-T again and we already have sour grapes trying to ruin the fun for everybody. Nevermind the fact that AIM-9X was doing what SLM did while it was neutered yet nobody seemed to complain.
Because the AIM9X had a limited range. Good luck out running a IrisT SLM.
And? It is the same principle, you get too close and you die, also FB-10 is a long range missile with plenty of energy that can hit targets far out. The nerf essentially made IRIS-T impossible to hit targets out to 5 km and that’s if the seeker would actually do anything since most times it did not even work.
Nobody is forcing players to fly in a straight line, you can defeat it by using terrain and flying low. Admittedly, some maps are not always the best for flying defensively but you get the idea.
Also we so many CAS buffs lately that the nerf needed to be reverted. We got Grippens with 16 SPICE, Eurofighters with 8 SPICE, two Su-30s Kh-38s in Japan and Russia. And the list goes on. It’s only a matter of time when ARM gets added so that might even things out.

Actually the missile itself is SL not SLM.
SLM has even more range.

Well I haven’t died to it yet. It’s poopoo compared to the SA-15. FB-10 is actually more scary than whatever that thing fires.
